Very spicy but not overbearing. I know it’s only ground habanero pepper, but it has a slight cheesy flavor, delicious!

It's habanero powder. It's hot. I've purchased ghost pepper powder & it was too Hot. Habanero is perfect. It's what I like to call "Food Grade" hot. Any hotter & I categorize it in "Spice Challenge". Habanero is hot enough to eat daily without too much consequences. The floral notes come through as well. Very fragrant habanero flavors. I like to eat habaneros as a mash or in a salsa occasionally so I can say it's pretty close to the fresh peppers. I like to use these in cooking & sprinkle a bit into chips to make a spicy version as most spicy chips seem to either be incredibly not spicy or just doesn't taste good since some of them like to include Spanish flavors as Chile powder & it tastes weird. My favorite is Ruffles Cheddar. The flaming hot version totally loses the cheddar flavor. I like it, but with habanero powder. I get the best of both worlds. Hope this helps & again. This is hot. Habanero never ceases to amaze me at how hot it is. This powder is a great example of just that. Just a tiny bit is needed to add a serious kick to your dish. But if you use enough, and if you can deal with the burn, the flavor also comes through. Habanero isn't really the single tastiest pepper I know of- that distinction goes to scotch bonnet- but this is an immediate second. And this powder, in particular, is the best habanero powder I have ever found. The one word I can think of to best describe it is "pure". It just tastes pure. I highly recommend this for anyone serious about not just feeling the heat, but also tasting the fruit that made it.

Hot seems pure nothing added. Use with caution unless your used to heat. Nice pantry item used when you need it every now and then. Always be prepared with spices.
