Adult Coloring Book: Incredible Insect Designs (Creative Adult Coloring) Paperback – Coloring Book, April 4, 2017

I bought this book because I got Married. Ahrens book Amazing Floral Garden. Big mistake. I really enjoy coloring all aspects of nature including the tiny critters that most people run from, insects. This book attempted to make a each page a beautiful collage of of the little critters - just look at the cover of the book. In my estimation, the only beautiful picture is the cover. She has so many elements on each page that you can't figure out what is the insect and what is design. It's just a Hodge podge of lines.I think if she would have emphasized the insect with either fewer decorations on the insect or the background, the art would have worked. But as it is, it's so busy that you can't see the insects due to so much busy design.At the very least, if you have a very critical eye and can figure out these designs and love intricate work, then this book is for you. I love intricate, but I can't figure out the vast majority of the pictures.

I really love this book. There are more than 40 images to color in on single sided paper. The paper quality is okay, but not the best. The pages are easily removed. The images are beautiful. Some are quite intricate, but others have larger areas to color similar to stained glass coloring books. The only complaint really is that my book had one duplicate image. Also, the web page description is incorrect in that there are not any colored images included as stated. There are all sorts of insects including butterflies, a praying mantis, flowers, and even a spider. Beautiful.

The pictures are not centered on the page. Quite a disappointment as I usually love this author's products.
