Better than it’s more expensive competitors!
This speaker is pretty good!I own other small bluetooth speakers like JBL Clip5, UE Miniroll, Soundcore GO3, and Bose Soundlink Mini.I can say that the Skullcandy Kilo out performs the Bose Soundlink Mini hands down, and comes close to the sound quality JBL Clip5 for nearly half the price. However the UE Miniroll does sound a lot better than all of these speakers, but is on the pricier side. The overall quality on the Skullcandy Kilo is pretty great given the lower price tag compared to its competitors, sacrificing little sound difference. It has a pretty rugged design built for everyday use and it also has a very bright sound signature that can get very loud when you crank it up.The size is pocketable and can be clipped pretty much anywhere. It is very easy to use right out of the box with straight forward controls and the over all feel seems like it can take a beating no problem! Lastly, the battery life is the best in the game out performing all of its competitors with 24 hours of battery life. I haven’t had to charge it in the past 2 weeks of using it daily at very high volume for long periods of time!Overall, this speaker is 100% worth the price, you wont find a better deal to quality ratio out.I personally think Skullcandy’s Speakers are super underrated and deserve more attention because sound quality and build quality wise, they do compete with the big boys like UE, JBL, Sony, Bose, and Soundcore.Definitely grab one and see for yourself.

Awesome sound for such a small speaker
I Love this tiny speaker, it's so convenient and loud for it's size. I ordered this one and the Ounce one but decided to keep this one instead, even bought one for my husband due to that awesome price! I don't know how waterproof or water resistant it is but I did have to Fog about 200+ buses and kept it hanging on my person and had absolutely no issues. I do love that I've been using it on and off for about two days now and have only charged it once that first morning and battery is currently on 90% It definitely beats my heavy JBL I was using prior but was too big to carry around everyday. This one saves me so much space and has become my favorite, even more so than my headphones and ear buds. Also I love how the bottom has some grip so I can use it while driving and won't roll off like my other speaker!

Terrific sound - awesome Prime Day price
I love/own several JBL Flip 4 and 5 bluetooth speakers. I have tried others but the JBLs are the best price/performance value (UE Boom comes close). I wanted to try a model that enabled pairing for truly separate, stereo sound. The smaller cube UE Booms and the Sonos are among several brands that can do that.... so I caved and got these on impulse when they were 40% off for Prime Day. Individual BT pairing with your iPhone is a cinch. But stereo pairing was a little bit finicky. However, once you completed it they pair in stereo every time. I set them up in my office along the back wall about 10 feet apart, facing towards my desk and what a difference stereo sound produces spatially! I like that these produce crisp mids and highs as most of my music (in office) is mellower - from classical to jazz to coffeeshop vocals. They do great with rock and blues as well. I dislike the (all-too-frequent) muddied sound of bass-heavy speakers and these are not like that. And they sound terrific, even at higher volumes. The one dislike (and it's a biggie - almost warranting a reduction in stars) is how incredibly loud the "power on" sound is when you first turn them on AND when they pair in stereo. People 3-4 doors down the hall can hear them and there is Nothing you can do to mute that. I don't know why BT speakers insist on doing that loud "launch" tone every single time (JBL is just as guilty though slightly quieter, still way too loud). Note: these use the newer USB-C cables (same as newer iPads and other devices). Each comes with a cable but no power "cube" to plug into an outlet. Fortunately most of us have plenty of cubes by now.

Good budget buy not much low end
For the price point I can see it fitting the needs for a lot of people. I had a false notion that a lot of these lower end audio brands cater to going for basey sound but I found this to deliver more defined highs and “some bass”. Which for its size and price point does the job.I purchased it for my longer road cycling rides not wanting something that drew too much attention and light weight. Attached to a clips on a shoulder strap like I found some people doing I found it to be a little annoying and distracting and when it’s floating away from your body if you ride in drops and there’s nothing behind the speaker forget get about the low end.I’m going to try some ski straps and attach it to the top tube to see how it holds up and how it sounds. For the price it does it job. I would say if you enjoy bass the pill style speakers are just a little bigger and heavier but provide better low end even on an outdoor ride. If you’re on a budget this works. If you can spend the money buy up and enjoy your rides.
