Giving it 2 stars, i brought these for my aquaclear 70 which i brought recently with a new 140 liter tank. i was using 2 internal filter on my old tank,1 to polish water (only using wool filter media) and other with bio balls and some carbon to remove odor. using 2 filters internally was taking up lot of space and causing issues with plants on my tetra tanki decided to go with boyu as its a reputed brand and i have known it since long but i was really not happy with these rings, the main issue being1. Rings should be ceramic ande made of sintered glass but these seem to be made of calcium as my hardness went up and its leeching white cloud.2. leeching colour, these bio balls are leeching white colour, i put them in water for 2 days and did daily water change but was still clouding water :(the packet itself was totally covered in white powder and most of the rings were broken and crumbled to powder.3. ceramic rings should have porous area which would help the growth of aerobic bacteria on outer exposed parts and anaerobic ones in the deep pores, which would eliminate ammonia/nitrates and nitrates, so bio rings should have porous and rough texture where these bacteria can settle but this one is smooth to touch. never buy smooth bio rings they wont help you much.if you are a hobbyist, then select something better, remember ceramic balls/bio media will last you a very long time, so its better to invest a bit more initially and have better product. i am giving it 1 star for the price but well it was not worth it.

Bio media comes as described. However there is a lot of white powder inside the packet. Boyu coud have done a better job at washing and removing and powdery leeching coler before packing the item. If you rince it in running water and sock in for few days it should solve the problems

i search similar products in the market. but, not looks fine. So i bought the product from the Amazon. The box of the product looks old, but the product inside are beyond the expectation. Boyu as it is good in product quality. I wash the product in running water and then it's ready for use in my filter. Can't say about result now, but the quality of product is really give a positivity about result. Thanks Amazon for faster delivery in lock down.

not sure what these are made of as no matter how much u wash then they keep on leeching the white clolured stuff. I also soaked them in water for a couple of day but still the same. Don't know what to do with them now as I definitely can't put them in my tank...

I dipped the media into the water for 4 days but it looks cloudy; and finally when I fitted the same into my external filter over a night it caused cloudiness in the aquarium water I think milky is a better term. Please don't try this product for your aquarium.

Same from Aquanature fake product like Active carbon, Ceramic rings or Calcium CHUNA rings. Please don't sell duplicate product having no mfg details like date, add, contains. BOGUS

They are normal ceramic ring but duplicate.As boyu company rings come with net bag neatly packed in sealed cover but this was open in local fruit net.

Too much of dust.... leaching inspite of pre wash. Still being soaked... some smell too.... mesh bags are of wry low quality...

Useless it's smooth no surface area it's just a waste don't ever buy this ceramic rings it's of no use

Just fit my filter, great product, but mind you that it had to be soaked at-least 3 days to reduce the cloudiness.

Product colour is not good it looks like yello because it's oldest.
