This straight razor has been honed to be shave ready as soon as you strop it. The blade (carbon steel) is tough and holds a good edge. This is an excellent beginner razor. It isn't the same quality as a $200 razor, but for less than 1/4 of theyou can get started wet-shaving. This is perfect if you're just getting into the hobby and makes a great practice blade.
