You're gonna need this adapter to do some Level 2 Charging
We're on our second electric car now and quite pleased we don't have to stop for gas so much, but level 1 charging is so sloooooow. So we paid the electrician to add a new socket for us with a higher voltage for level 2 charging. You're gonna need this little converter if you find the charger you bought doesn't fit into the socket. the female end accomodates a standard plug. We've been charging Level 2 for a few months now and so far, no fires. I had to make a couple of wrong purchases until I finally got the right one. This is it.I had to try several times to find the right one, this is it.

Great value for a tesla owner
I needed a 220v adapter for plugging my Tesla Y into my dryer receptacle and this was exactly the correct plug adapter. Make sure you look closely at your dryer 220 plug and the Tesla charger plug architecture so you get the correct combinations. I leave the adapter attached to the Tesla charger cable so it's easy to plug into the dryer plug and then into the vehicle.

Compatible with 2023 Model Y and Dryer
Compatible with Tesla and dryer, BUT breaker kept getting tripped and getting too hot. Not the fault of the product, but the house wiring. Even turned down the charging amps, still tripping breaker.

Not a good EV charging option
2nd attempt at a NEMA product to charge my EV thru the 240v outlet in our laundry room. Same as the previous adapter cable. Used it twice and it quit working. I have gone another way that cost more but is a more reliable option. Constant plugging and unplugging isn’t good for the outlet and this alternative avoids that.

Used twice to charge a Rivian and worked well. MUST SET to < 24 Amps!
Works well. Seems sturdy. Plugged in very securely. If you use these to charge an EV on a 30 amp outlet, you MUST SET THE EV TO CHARGE AT 24 AMPS OR IT WILL OVERLOAD THE CIRCUIT AND COULD START A FIRE.
