UPDATE: In 2025 this item was out of stock. After searching online we could not find more tahoma 31 plugs anywhere. I contacted a local sod farm and they sold me a roll of tahoma 31 for $10. Size was approximately 18"x5ft. It was more work because we had to cut the sod into pieces. However we were able to cut pieces better for the bare area of out lawn. It worked out well. Plugs are more convenient if you can find themOur plugs arrived promptly. None were bright green and some were even yellow. They improved tremendously after a couple of days of watering.As far as I can tell, all survived the transplant process. Two weeks later, they are growing nicely. Some have runners and the grass is approaching 2 inches tall. They were planted in shady bare spots under a large oak tree iin West Texas and have already survived some 100 degree days. I can't tell how fast they will spread yet but will buy more next year to put under another oak tree.UPDATE: As of early October all but two of the plugs survived the summer. They have spread from a one inch square to 4-6 inch squares. Obviously they have not covered as well as we hoped but maybe that was too much to hope for in one year. We still plan to buy more next year and will try to get them earlier.

The plants arrived slightly yellow, but have changed to dark green in just a few days. There were instructions in the packaging describing the cause and remedy and following the instructions leads to the desired result. Plugs have grown noticeably in the week since planting.

these were 90% yellow with a few sprigs of green. i had ordered from another company and received lush green larger plugs, these are small and frail looking. followed instructions water faithfully...... without overwatering. Used slow release fertilizer upon planting. Made sure they were planted tightly without air holes. Been 8 days and no evidence of improvement.

I received the grass several days before I was ready to plantI received the Tahoma 31 grass plugs early last week, I followed the provided instructions, I placed them in the sun in one of my flower beds and watered them every day, by the weekend when I got ready to plant they were much greener than when I opened the package ..I transplanted them in an area that’s partially shaded between my house and a tree. At this point they are looking healthy.. 5 stars
