bought for a sub woofer amp
Blew my 18in sub amp had an old car audio amp layin around. the draw is varying and this power supply is great!never varies from 12.1 . Thought I would need a battery and such but this is amazing. The JBL 500 works just fine. Wanted to use a larger amp but the fan noise of the amp was louder than expected. Could have got a smaller converter but more than you need is always good. Now to fix a picture frame before the wife gets home

Convert AC to DC so you can power stuff.
Works as described. I needed something to test my dc adapter devices inside the house. Maybe also run a car stereo or amplifier.

12V converter
Portable and lightweight

the maximum wattage is only 510 watts not 600 watts.
bought to run my bandsaw blade sharpener in the shop. The sharpener is made to run with a 12 volt battery, but I didn't want to have to keep charging a battery to sharpen blades at home.

Plug and play
I do a lot of re-wiring on my cars. This makes testing much easier. No worries about needing a battery you can easily hook to the terminals with multiple leads and add any kind of connector to the ends of your leads. Very handy. It would have been nice to have a meter on it so you know what voltage your using instead of having top check your switch.

Easy to use.
Used the converter to run a 12v fuel pump. So far works great.

Gets hot, but works fairly well
This 12v supply shouldn't be in constant use over 40A at 12v (480w), or you may run into premature deterioration of internal components due to excessive heat. The specs say to keep it under 85% of rated power. I would definately not exceed that in peak circumstances let alone constant use at that amperage. With their warranty, you are covered under normal operating conditions as directed in their insert. The english is a bit archaic, but you can get their message: abuse won't be covered. The supply seems fairly well built for it being a cheap unit. It does feel solid, fairly light-weight, etc. Part of what keeps these supplies healthy includes good components- including a decent fan that will push enough air through the cage to dissipate heat. I'm reluctant to open the case and void warrantee simply to find out, so we'll have to wait and see how these hold up after a month of use.
