Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was born on 28 July 1929. She was wife to United States President John F. Kennedy. As a young lady she got a degree in French literature, and worked at a newspaper as a photographer. Later in her life she also worked as a book editor. A year after college Jacky met the President at a dinner party. They were married a year later and the couple had four children. Jacky was very greatly admired for her beauty and intelligence. She was with her husband, The President, when he was assassinated in 1963. She then married her second husband, the Greek shipping Magnate Aristotle Onassis. Jacky died 19 May 1994, after a struggle with cancer. She is remembered as an intelligent and graceful woman. People considered her to be a fashion icon, and praised her for her elegance and charm. She remains one of the most popular First Ladies of America.
