STK EN-EL9 Charger for Nikon D3000, D5000, D40, D60, D40X SLR Cameras, MH-23 and Nikon EN-EL9 / EN-EL9a Batteries

I'm happy with the light weight STK charger,works great for my Nikon D40x camera which uses battery EN-EL9.I was a bit surprised when I first put the battery in it as the space is wider than the actual battery.There are 3 posts on the battery and the charger has only 2 connectors so you must align the posts and connectors up when putting it in the charger, easily done just align battery to the far right inside the slot, it snaps in secure. You then flip out the plug and plug it into the outlet, the little red led light comes on and after awhile it turns green when charge is complete. Like the added car plug that comes with it too. Good price and it all works good.

The built-in LED charge indicator will glow green when the EN-EL9/EN-EL9a battery is fully charged. This charger also comes with a coiled car adapter cord, which can be very useful when one is mobile.But is it as good at the original Nikon MH-23 Quick Charger? In terms of overall sturdiness, the STK charger doesn't feel as robust, though charge times appear to be similar. I've used the STK Charger with the Nikon En-EL9a Rechargeable Li-ion Battery along with the older Nikon En-EL9 batteries, and ht has done the job as expected.STK's Nikon EN-EL9 Battery Charger is not the first product that I've used from this company, and it probably won't be the last. This one is good as a price-effective backup for a lost or misplaced OEM Nikon MH-23 Quick Charger, and at a far more reasonable price.JW ▪ 4/30/2013

I ordered the charger online on a Saturday afternoon. It was sent via USPS on Tuesday, and I received it on Friday. It seems to work perfectly. I have charged two batteries with no problem. Good service, received in a reasonable length of time, works as advertised, great price, plus it came with an adapter for the car, which I didn't expect--would recommend the product and the seller without hesitation. I could rate this 5 stars, but I gave it 4 because -- well, i just don't get excited over a battery charger... ;) As an additional note: I read about a similar battery charger from another seller that in some cases didn't work at all or that got very hot when it was plugged in. I thought this one got unusually warm when I plugged it in; but I switched outlets and it is nice and cool while my batteries charge.

This battery charger works for my Nikon D5000 and it was super cheap! For some reason, I always lose chargers and adapters so I feel like I am constantly purchasing replacements. Whenever I do buy a replacement, I am always worried as to whether it will work with my current equipment. If you are looking for a battery charger that works with your Nikon D5000, I can say “Yes, it is compatible!”This battery charger works well and it also comes with a car charger adapter, which is a nice bonus. I am always skeptical when buying non-brand batteries or chargers, but this one works great. I have had no issues and it charged my battery super fast. It is small and compact, so you can easily store it in your camera bag. The plug that goes into the wall flips in and out of the battery charger so. It is also nice because it has a built in LED charge indicator that turns red when the battery is charging and when it is fully charged, the light turns green. Also, the battery fits nice and snug into the charger. Overall, I would recommend it and I think it is a great charger, especially for the price.

Great Charger. Very light fits well in camera case. When plugged into the bottom outlet, it does not interfere with using the top outlet. Charges batteries faster than charging with the Nikon OEM charger and not nearly as cumbersome. Charger and battery get a little warm ...don't know if that will shorten battery life, but otherwise works great.It came with a cable for charging in the car which was a bonus.

This is a very inexpensive charger, but it works very well! It charged both of my Nikon batteries very quickly and did not overheat. It's very portable and plugs in pretty flat against the wall. I tend to lose my chargers often, and if I lose it again.. I'll be sure to order another one of these!

I have no issues with this affordable option to charge my batteries. It seems to charge in the same amount of time & is easy to figure out right out of the package. The added bonus is the car charger which works great when we're traveling.

My original charger just quit working. I ordered this to replace it. It arrived in 2 days. I like that it is compact and has a 12v adapter so I can charge it in the car if needed. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the way the battery fits into the slot. There is a slot for a tab on the battery to fit into but the space is wider than the battery and it leaves a gap on the left side. Don't know why they didn't make that adapter fit the dimensions of the battery better.
