Needed some rough paper for a sanding drum
Purchased for a 2x3" sanding drum and it worked perfectly. I needed some very rough paper and this was the toughest I could get in the timeframe I needed it. Did a great job.

Good Quality But Wished it was 50 Foot Roll?
Love the product and idea of cutting the length to my specific needs for my SuperMax 19-38 drum sander... wished it was 50-foot roll as the remaining strip left to cut came up a few inches short and having to waste nearly 9~ feet of the roll and not having an extra 6 inches to make another full-length strip to work. Be happy to pay a little extra for the 1 additional foot of length. Most of us with drum sanders have the 19-38 model and it's just not enough length to get the last of the available roll to make a final strip to use. Please consider making the roll 50 feet.. and charging a little more to get full value on this.

Great price
Belt is a bit thin compared to original one. On our grizzly drum sander the catch mechanism is a PIA and the thinner belt material tends to tear much easier. Had to use another piece of the belt and glued it onto end to reinforce it. Seems to work, will see how long it lasts.

May not be 3" wide
I ordered three different rolls; 80 grit, 120 grit and 240 grit. Of the three rolls the 80 grit and 240 grit did measure 3 inches in width. The 120 grit roll however did not. It was instead only 2-7/8 inches wide (2.875"). The rolls all state that they are 75mm wide, (2.9527") but that 120 grit roll was 73mm wide. While that may not seem like a significant difference, it made it very frustrating to try and get it to wind correctly on my 1632 drum sander. I wish I had measured the width before cutting a strip to length, as I cannot now return the roll. The backing on the rolls do not indicate the country of origin, however there were some Japanese characters printed on the paper label on the plastic wrapping that the rolls came in. That surprises me as I would expect Japanese quality control to be exemplary. Perhaps the company is Japanese but has the products manufactured elsewhere that quality control is lax. I would also add that the cloth backing is quite flexible, J weight, unlike most other abrasive belts which tend to be stiffer backing, X weight. It does make it quite easy to wind onto the drum, but it remains to be seen how that will affect the durability of the abrasive. Just bear in mind that sanding drums are manufactured according to a specific, expected width of the abrasive in order to wind correctly on the drum and meet the attachment points. A difference in abrasive width may require some calculations in order to try and adapt it to the drum.

Abrasives don't last
I purchased this item twice and in both instances the quality did not match the quantity of purchase. The problem is I can get 6 runs out of a roll which equates to around 3.00/roll but when you put the paper to the test I end up wasting time cutting and reinstalling the paper way too often to make this purchase worth while. The problem with this paper is that the abrasives wear down way to soon and you are left with paper that no longer sands but gets easily clogged and then leaves burn marks even with cleaning the paper often. It boils down to either changing every so often or purchasing a good quality paper that will last longer. So it will depend on how often you use the paper and whether it is worth the time and effort to continually change it. I use this too often for me to make this a good choice.
