Complete Book of Crochet Stitch Designs: 500 Classic & Original Patterns: Volume 1 (Complete Crochet Designs)

I originally bought this book when I first started to crochet but have somehow managed to loose it so I've repurchased. It has an amazing range of stitches which is why I repurchased and although I have given it 5 stars for it's comprehensive range of stitches it would be nice it the images were in coloured yarns other than beige but that is just a small niggle and I would still highly recommend this book.

I ordered this book because id lost my little book of crochet stitches. This book had just arrived and i was pleasantly suprised how thick it is. I have had a look through and must say it is better than i was expecting. Someone had commented on the same colour yarn used to show the stitches. I think it is an ideal colour to display the stitches. Each stitch can be clearly seen. Very well laid out. Very happy with this book

All the possible variations of crochet stitches in one book. The book begins with instructions on all the basic stitch techniques and then shows you how to use these to create all the many different designs. The instructions are very clear and very well illustrated. There is a section on international crochet symbols which, again, is well explained. Each of the 500 designs are explained with a colour photograph, text instructions and a symbol diagram. The terms used are US terminology but this is not a real problem since this is consistent throughout all the instructions. If you prefer to use UK terms a seach on, say, Google for 'crochet conversion table' will give you access to a simple list of the matching terms. [If you also buy the companion book to this on crochet borders, there is a conversion table included]

I wante£ a book with clear crochet instructions for different crochet patterns and this book certainly does that. This book is very well written with great instructions. My only criticism is that I would have liked it to be in UK terms so have awarded it 4 stars.

Very useful and helpful book.

This book is well laid out and easy to understand for beginners through to advance crochet users. Each stitch has a picture, diagram and a pattern that are all easy to follow. I know that the author Linda only used one predominant color white to show the finished stitch. However, I find it helpful to see the different designs that are in each stitch, compared to other crochet books that use different color wool to show different stitches.At the beginning of the book the different stitches and techniques are explained and clearly shown. In addition, each chapter for each stitch is broken down very well for example, Chapter 3 Shells in here the different styles and designs are shown.Therefore, if you are considering taking up crochet as a hobby this book would be worth buying.

This book has really helped me get some new patterns out I love it. I was getting a little bored but I’m really enjoying taking my crochet to the next level with this.

Excellent reference book :) So overlooked as the colouring of the images are so repetitive and not broken up with differenttones or colours … but that aside, fantastic and easy patterns here to play with.

Such a valuable resource. it shows how to make all the stitches used in all the designs in clear text and illustrations. Also includes a chart of the international crochet symbols. Best of all each of the 500 stitch patterns is shown in a good sized photo. A neutral yarn is used for all illustrations, thus emphasizing stitch pattern itself. Each stitch pattern is explained with the standard text with a line for each row, and an accompanying graph. I learn by seeing, so the graph which is an illustration of the crochet symbols is easier for me to understand. I can cross reference with the written directions, for a fuller understanding of the stitch pattern. I can manage to figure out the stitch designs with the excellent directions. Also, the designs are lovely. This book is by crochet Bible.

Gran variedad de modelos patrones con sus correspondientes gráficos. Las explicaciones están en inglés pero con los patrones gráficos puedes realizar el trabajo sin dificultad. Las fotografías de las muestras son claras.Todas las puntillas son de un color de hilo poco atractivo y anticuado.El libro lo incluyo en mi biblioteca personal para tenerlo a mano en mis futuros trabajos. Creo que es una buena fuente de inspiración para futuros proyectos.Merece la pena la compra
