Mercer 11" x 2" Knife Guard M33118P

Over the years, I’ve bought many different brands and types of knife guard but I’ve never found one that was so easy to get on the knife yet sturdy and with a good fit. I’ve found many knife guards, esp. slide on ones like these, either are tight enough it’s like working a puzzle or so loose they fall off. This one actually found the happy balance between those extremes. That’s a good thing, considering how wickedly sharp Mercer’s slicing knife is.

Goes well with the 10 inch cooks knife.

I bought this to protect a large chef’s knife (not a Mercer Culinary brand). It’s more rigid than other knife sheaths I have, but fits the blade well and seems sturdy.

Ordered to protect my beautiful Mercer bread knife. This hard plastic sheath keeps me from accidentally cutting myself on a knife left uncovered in my utensil drawer. It’s a nice heavy weight hard plastic. Easy to stick the knife into, good protection for me and the knife.
