This tool worked like a charm! The collar connecting my salt cell was stuck tight. No amount of wrestling with it budged it one bit. I tried other tools I had on hand to no avail. In desperation I ordered this tool on Amazon. Wish I had done this sooner! It was so easy to use and it did the trick. It’s a bit expensive for what it is in my opinion but still. Highly recommend!

I returned it. It was flimsy and did not fit well

Pay attention to the manufacture's note of counting how many ridges you have on your salt cell unions. This tool only fits the original Hayward GLX-Cell Union. You are not supposed to tighten your sale cell union "by hand" which I do. However, over time it seems to tighten up where I need a big clunky pair of pliers to loosen when I winterize the pool. With this simple plastic tool you can easily loosen the union without scratching anything. Works like a charm.

This product does fit the connection to my canister , but does not open the exit ball valve to empty the canister. Now I cannot tighten the valve again. Also I feel this is VERY overpriced and is not worth that much. I feel about $20.00 would be more like it, not $38.00. Thanks for this opportunity to express my true evaluation.
