I was surprised with this mat, it works better than I thought it would for what it is. I easily cut it to the shape I needed and has stayed put without issue. While the chair doesn't roll like on a glass mat, I don't need or want it to. I just wanted it to protect my new floor which it does.

This is a good product. I have pine floors and I wanted something to protect them from my office chair rollers. This works pretty well. It's not elegant, but it does the job, and it's a good value for the money. We shall see how long it lasts. If it tears up, I will probably get a hard plastic floor protector to replace it. The product itself is a thin polyester carpet on a non-skid backing. It comes folded up. I've only had it a day, but the folds have already mostly come out and it lays flat.. My chair rolls just fine, but it upsets my floor robot a little because the front brushes get under the edge of the carpet and rolls it up a little, and that makes the robot fussy. But it gets past it eventually and vacuums the mat just fine. The mat does not roll up when I roll my chair wheels over the edge, which is good, just when the robot's front brushes push it up. When I got it, I unfolded it and left it overnight. Then this morning I mopped the floor where it will go and when that dried I peeled off the protective plastic sheet to expose the anti-skid surface. It's not so much sticky as grippy, if you know what I mean. Then I spread out the mat and rolled my chair onto it. I can reposition it if I need to. As I said, it stays in place and doesn't roll up when you roll off the edge. Plus it's protecting my floor. I guess that's all one could ask of it.

The mat is very thin, which would be good for a chair mat, but it's very flimsy and won't stay laid flat on the floor. When I roll my chair, the mat bunches up between the wheels. I've only had the mat down for a few weeks and it already needs to be replaced from wear. It's just cheap crap.

This is perfect for my office area. I’m sure it will save my floors.
