Because all of the items are all together on the page it becomes more of a hidden picture exercise for my under two son. Too hard for him to have to find all the items to thenot learn the vocabulary of which I bought for.

Not what I expected and not very usefull. The 1000 words are clearly not picked on the basis of how often the words are used. Words like comet, asteroid and continent are not really relevant for young kids learning their first 1000 English words in my view. At least in learning English as a second language. Also the pictures are not clear and it is not easy for a small child to understand all the pictures. This book is probably better for older schoolkids who have interests in things like space shuttles and not for pre schoolers.

The books are brilliant. I first bought 1000 word books 30 years ago and they are still just as good and pictures are very good.

I use it to help teach English to adults and children - great!

My kids love this book. Many words, beautiful pictures. I give them some sentences to use, so it became an excellent base to learn English
