Works great, easy instal, no check engine light, doesn’t seem to affect gas mileage much although I live in a rural area without much stop and go traffic. I just didn’t like how the car would turn off with every stop, such as pulling up to the mail box, easing up to a parking bumper, quick stop ant a stop sign etc. I think the factory should have put a longer delay on it!! Good value, fit perfect!

Just installed this on our 2018 Traverse a few days ago and it works as advertised. No more auto stop! I gladly trade the little bit of fuel consumption for less wear on the transmission. I tested the hood open indication and remote start functionality, and both still work without a problem, with no discernable difference from before. The dual-connector cord comes with the wire encased in a protective plastic wire harness, similar to the factory wire harnesses. I wrapped the wire harness in high temperature automotive wire harness tape to better protect the wires and better match the surrounding wire harnesses (https://a.co/d/gaLTLgB). Although the package didn't come with instructions, there was sufficient information on the web posting, and installation was straightforward. Simply find the connector to the hood latch sensor (on the 2018 Traverse, it's next to the hood latch, on the passenger's side), then disconnect it, and insert the device. Since that lengthens the wire, I opted to loop the device on itself, securing the loop with a zip tie. Everything blends in well, and if one weren't looking specifically for it, or troubleshooting the hood latch sensor, they might not even see it. Overall, I highly recommend this device.

Easily to install. Works great so far. No engine stopping and starting. No check engine light.30 sec install.Pop the hood. Unplug the original plug at the hood latch. Plug the wire harness in between the factory plug.

Super easy to install! Took less than 5 minutes! Works perfectly! No more annoying Auto Stop! No issues at all. Everything working perfectly. Best thing I ever did for my 2018 Equinox! Highly recommend! You won’t regret it.

It can be installed in a minute and it works flawlessly. It’s odd that it doesn’t come with any instructions. It’s not that it’s difficult to install, but it would’ve been nice to know where it was supposed to plug in without doing outside research. Spoiler, it plugs in to the harness going to the hood latch. I’ve been driving with it for several weeks now, and it has worked perfectly with no error messages.

I must say that I had some reservations about this product actually doing what it says it will do. Especially since there are competing products out there for upwards of $150. I thought that I would buy it and if it works I'll keep it and if not, I will return it to Amazon. Well to my amazement and satisfaction, it does indeed work. You just have to unplug the sensor cable going to the hood latch and insert this patch cable inbetween the original cable and the hood latch sensor. The remote start still works, and there is no hood latch warning being displayed on the dashboard. Also the Check Engine light stays off. And after a 5 mile test of city driving, the engine never stopped one time. It just idled when stopped at the traffic lights like the good old days. I may have to take this item apart and see what is inside it that makes it work so well. I can't guarantee that it works for all vehicles, but it sure does for the 2021 Equinox.

Purchased this for our '21 Traverse. Easy to install but it came with no instructions. Had to read other customers' reviews to figure it out, being a mechanic/technician helped. Installs on the hood ajar switch. Now, the remote start will not function in cold weather. Here in Texas that's anything below 60 degrees. But 55 and below it won't work. Not sure if it pertains to this part being installed or not. Point being, the auto start-stop was disabled. Get this if you have daily stop and go driving, and give your starter a little more life, regardless if you're told that it doesn't matter.

So far so good. Installed in 2 mins, no check engine light, no hood open light. Way better that the L6 trick.. super cheap so easy to replace of fails. Plug N Play

This is a great solution for disabling auto-stop on my 2017 XT5. Took 30 seconds to install, it just plugs into the existing cabling. Affordable, no errors or codes thrown, works perfectly, everything else on the vehicle is fine. No ECM issues. I'd recommend this highly, it'll save your engine!!
