Kite Uncut

57 minutes, a 90s classic and a adult film that a person who’s not 18 shouldn’t watch. This controversial film is one of the classics that I brought so that I can watch along with kite liberator to see the action and the drama unfold in both movies that is from the same director.

I haven't seen Kite or heard of it before, but I have watched the general release version of Mezzo Forte recently. Which is by the same director, Yasuomi Umetsu. I ordered the complete dvd version of Mezzo Forte and figured I'd order this too, since I saw it was by him as well. I haven't watched it yet, but it came in good condition. I'll probably give it a watch this Sunday.

This uncut version of Kite was a gift for my movie-buff friend, who suggested that I see this movie. I saw the edited version and noticed that Amazon offered the uncut version. I correctly guessed that my friend would appreciate the uncut Blue Ray version because he has the edited film. He raved about it; thus my 5-star rating!

For anyone that says Amazon or anything else edited it needs to stop and do research.Kite originally had a uncut version (adult/hentai) and a edited version (general release) back in the mid-late 90s. Both versions were available for purchase or rent wherever you could find them. Back then they knew some people would like one or the other because of the content within. So if you want the version without the sex scenes, go get it. You want the uncut version, then go get it. They did the same thing with the original Mezzo Forte released mid- late 90s ( not the mezzo forte mini series).Kite isn’t the best anime show/movie out there but it delivers on the action, if this type of action is what you’re looking for. It can hold its own without the sex scenes. Kinda like the really great anime series that unfortunately have unnecessary forced fan service in them that keeps you from sharing with other friends and family. But no one should be getting all huffy puffy about the kite being edited or uncut because both versions were purposely released by the anime studio.

Like the previous blu-ray there are some blurry shots that can't really be fixed, but it's still amazing and I greatly appreciate it. Very grateful for this release !Definitive uncut version. I've had the cover shot of Sawa tattooed on my leg since January 2000.

Arrived in mint condition. I have been waiting for this Movie to be localized on Blu ray for quite some time. This is the real uncut original English dubbed version on BLURAY!

This is a very violent graphically and sexually. It is stated that all people depicted are 19 and older and yeah that's a lie. If you can stomachs the depiction of a child being sexually abused you have a crazy action movie with highly kinetic gun fights. Now as for the uncut part I clearly remember maybe on phillacio scene with an unnamed minor that isn't missed by me. Some may say I'm being biased but I think the fact that the story itself has an undercurrent of the characters killing child molesters on the orders of child molesters for money is kind of a tongue in cheek poke at the audience. The action scenes are legendary but it really doesn't age well when you get to the sex scenes where you can see that the main character, Sawa, had a growth spurt in the flashback sex scene. It's not impossible for a 19 year old but the fact this is an anime it was a purposeful decision to depict her so short.
