Great Tool!
I bake a lot and use my kitchen aid mixer help me out and this little tool does what it says. Scraps the side of the bowl really nicely. I had the original kitchen aid tool and it wore down after time as things do but I have to say, it never worked as well as this one. This one is shaped a bit better to get the sides in all areas of the bowls (that it’s supposed to). You will still have to get the mix out of the sides but you have to do that with any mixing tool. I also like the fact that you can see down the handle when cleaning it. It cleans a-lot faster as well. Great value.I put up pictures of the original metal one vs this one so you could see the difference at the top.

Fantastic replacement
I purchased one of these at least 25 years ago, and it recently broke because of me! Hunted down original company, (small business) Delighted to say they offered the original style, exactly what I wanted. The most reasonable price and value I could imagine after all that time. I would not be without it.!!!

Tight fit on my 7 quart kitchen aid mixer. Makes horrible noise at first then is not too bad. Cleans up pretty easy.

New Metro Design KA-5LBK Plastic Beater Blade
I have the KitchenAid K5SS which I purchased in 1982. I have used this blade with the original metal bowl and plastic pour/splatter shield. I fits and works well. Glad I bought it. As far as sturdiness is concerned, as me in 10 years.

No other paddle works
Love these! I won’t use my mixer with out this. You don’t need to scrape down the sides near as often. Sometimes not at all!

Didn't fit
I matched it with my kitchen aid pro . It said that it would fit but It didn't. I just went to kitchenaid website and ordered a real one from them
