Since it was my first time reading her work, I did not know what to expect. But I loved it. I loved the raw emotions on this book. The book cover is so pretty, too. Highly recommend this book!

đBOOK REVIEWđForget Me Not by Julie SotoRating: âď¸âď¸âď¸.5/5Spice level: đśď¸đśď¸/3Genre: Contemporary RomanceTropes: grumpy vs sunshine, second chance romance, forced proximity, celebrity wedding, dual POV & timeline, âthe one that got awayâ, lots of banter & angstAma is a wedding planner who, because she grew up watching her mom get married and divorced over and over again, doesnât believe in marriage. She does, however, love weddings.Elliot reluctantly took over his fatherâs flower shop when he passed, even though he doesnât really want to be a florist (he is, however, incredible at at his job).Ama and Elliot previously dated but had a messy breakup 2+ years ago. Ama has worked hard to avoid using Elliotâs shop as a vendor for weddings and had succeeded; until, a celebrity asks her to plan her wedding and specifically requests the flowers come from Elliotâs shop.Ama and Elliot have to put their differences aside to collaborate on this wedding that will make or break their careers. Throughout the story, we get to see flashbacks to what caused their breakup, as well as the undeniable chemistry between them that still exists.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I donât always enjoy second chance romances, but I really enjoyed this one. Both characters were pretty funny and entertaining, which made the book pretty consistently entertaining. The chemistry and banter between Ama and Elliot was super fun as well.I appreciated that both Ama and Elliot were very multidimensional. They both had unique personalities with very specific wants/desires and backstories. This book was definitely still a romance, but it was more realistic in terms of how the characters behaved with each other. It was frustrating in a way, because it was less âhappy/lightâ than most romance books, but I personally liked that.I wish we had gotten more of the past from Amaâs POV. There were a lot of moments where it would have been nice to get her perspective and reasoning (like why she was shutting Elliot down so much). I also needed a little more in terms of why she didnât want to date him; this was a big plot point but I donât think it was elaborated on/explained enough.Overall, very solid read. If you like contemporary romance with a bit more substance to it, then definitely check this one out.

Forget Me Not
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the interaction between the characters and the flipping between the past, and the present to get the full picture of their relationship. I felt like the pacing of the book was a little bit off, but overall absolutely love the story.

If I could give this infinite stars, I would.
đ Forget Me NotBy: Julie SotoGenre: RomanceRating: âžď¸ Perfection/5Run. Do not walk⌠Run, sprint, fly if you must, but get this book.Ama Torres is a wedding planner who doesnât believe in marriage. But weddings? Theyâre amazing. Elliot Bloom is a brooding florist who hates owning a flower shop⌠until a certain donut-loving workaholic shows up at his door.Once upon a time, they collaborated on events by day, and by night, Ama traced the intricate flower tattoos etched along his body. Then Ama shattered his heart and never spoke to Elliot again.   Now theyâre working on an event that could make or break both of their careersâexcept neither of them has gotten over what happened two years ago. Things are not helped by the two brides, who see the obvious chemistry between Ama and Elliot and are determined to set them up, not knowing their complicated history. But as the wedding takes on a life of its own, Ama and Elliot are about to discover that some things can survive a complete catastrophe . . . What I love:- Getting to see how well Ama can read people from the start. She is very intuitive. I love reading characters like this who can pick up on cues and body language as well as tone so well rather than how Iâve seen many authors write them being able to essentially âRead mindsâ (and not in a super power kind of way either.) with no rhyme or reason. We actually see Amaâs background and get to understand how she read people and how she is detail oriented and always taking note of all the details of others. I truly felt like this was brilliant.- Grumpy x Sunshine- I mean⌠did you see the cover? It has me in a chokehold. Look at them. AND the colors⌠the design. Everything about it is gorgeous and the character art is so beautiful.- The dual POVâs and how in Elliots POV, itâs a different timeline in the plot. (Itâs done so well that itâs easy to follow too.)- Ama being a ray of sunshine 90% of the time is so funny in some of these circumstances and how she just waltzâs around like she owns the world.- The story really gets into the hectic mess that is planning a wedding and itâs really funny to watch unfold.- Speaking of funny, this book is hilarious.- The drama.- Everything about this book is just phenomenal! I cannot praise it enough.- Elliot Bloom. Enough said. I adore him. If ever there was a dream man⌠itâs him. What I didnât:- There is absolutely nothing to dislike. The best wedding planner novel this year
Julie Sotoâs novel Forget Me Not is a perfect blend of spice and romance about a second chance romance set in Sacramento, California. It follows Ama Torres, a wedding planner, as she lands the biggest wedding of her career - that of social media influencer, Hazel, and her fiancee, Jackie. The only problem is that to succeed at planning the wedding, sheâs going to have to work with florist Elliot Bloom for the first time in three years, ever since Ama ended their relationship. Ama and Elliot created exquisite wedding designs when they used to work together. But as they start spending more time together again, will they realise that they still love each other and give in to those old feelings once more? The novel is written from both Ama and Elliotâs point of view, which I always love. It also goes back in time to when Ama and Elliot first met and how their relationship originally started. These little snippets of their history had me hooked on their relationship in the present day. Also, I fell hard for Elliot. He was such a sweet book boyfriend and love interest despite how others view him.The drama surrounding the high-profile wedding added to how interesting and intriguing this novel was. I really enjoyed it. In a year when wedding planning novels seem to be the latest trend (and I should know, I have read a few recently) this tops all of the others and definitely one you should read. I will also check out Sotoâs other novels in the future as this was a sexy and romantic novel that I couldnât put down.
