Effects of Yoga on Hypertension

Excellant
As with all the books I have purchased from the Bihar School of Yoga, this is well written, well researched and clearly laid out. I did buy it because I practice yoga but also I'm very much about empowering the self and taking responsibility. Too many people rely on an overstretched national health system whereas some common sense approach to life - taking medical advice where necessary would be a positive move all round. It does look briefly at other systems than yoga but even to a non-yogi what this book offers is not onerous and may even lead to a new way of looking at life. There's a lot of yoga books on the market and to the uninitiated it can be quite confusing. The Bihar School have produced many books over the years which I've used as a student and teacher and I've always found that while they expound the virtues of yoga they do not steer away from recommending medical advice where it is necessary and always recommend guidance and teaching to anyone starting out in yoga. Again - just common sense!

The chapter on Yoga Nigra is an excellent introduction as to how yoga can offer complete relaxation
Not only advice about treating hypertension with yoga, this book provides an explanation as to how the the yoga postures reach out to every body cell. This is information not availble on yoga courses and which most of us have been looking for since starting practise. The chapter on Yoga Nigra is an excellent introduction as to how yoga can offer complete relaxation. No need now to bother about looking for books on how yoga works; this one says it all!

books
I am a yoga teacher and I purchased two of these books for two clients of mine with high blood pressure. Both of my clients found this book excellent.
