Dimplex Antique Brass Danville OptiMyst Smoke & Flame Effect Insert Fire Place

I had undertaken a lot of research before I bought this item. Was absolutely blown away by the price and couldn’t order it fast enough. Delivered before the estimated date too.

Recently had the old Back fired boiler removed, a new boiler fitted in the airing cupboard and this fitted in its place. I am delighted with it and it really is a talking point. It makes you feel warm just looking at it.Have had no problems with this at all and would recommend.

Have mixed feelings about this fire. It has certainly become a talking point in my lounge for various reasons. On the plus side, the flame effect gives a certain cosy feeling on a cold night. That's about it really. From a negative point of view, all that water mist has to go somewhere and so it appears as condensation on all the windows, a problem I've never had before. Also the reflection of the lighting on the fan heater grill is so off-putting and distracting that I've had to fit a black strip of material so I can't see it. Strange the designers didn't think of it. However I have it set so that the bottle of water lasts all day and will persevere with it for a while but am not overly enthusiastic.

We bought this fire with log effect but got coal. Now I have had to pay £58 for the log effect.something is not right.

Arrived well packaged and on time. Instructions resonably clear. You do have to read carefully to set up the water tank mechanism. Fantastic effect - looks like real smoke!

Outstanding fire. Fill with water and watch the smoke effect rise from the coals.

Arrived quickly. Self installed and it works perfectly. Very pleased with product and service.
