NICE & super quiet, ...but hands are a rather flimsy metal & easily bent, since the face is fully exposed.
This IS a very nice clock with a quality, weighted feel to it (I got the white one; it is a satin-matte, stark-white color), however, it is NOT actually made of wood! If one is familiar with building materials, it is more of a pressed paper/fabricated material that has weight; its what home "mouldings/trims" are made of. (don't get it wet where the numbers are or on the backside where the material is bare (unpainted), or it will absorb the moisture and the layers could expand!). My only complaint is that the exposed metal hands (there is no lens cover on this clock), are pretty flimsy, and easily bent; not good since the hands can jam up on eachother. I just had to VERY GINGERLY bend back the minute hand, which 'fragile-y' sits on top , to get it unstuck from the hour hand (it came that way but I didn't want to send it back). In all, the clock fit the (10")measurements I needed to fit into a particular space, and I really like its simplicities: the look, the heavy feel, no logo or anything on the face, and is quiet (I hear no audible ticking), and keeps time well. But do I think it is worth the near-$70 asking price? Not really... maybe @ $40-$50, just IMO.

Well made - Difficult to see the numbers
This is essentially a round, approximately 1 inch thick, wooden circle with numbers that are cut out with a laser. It is painted in a very nice semi-gloss paint. The numbers are not painted and are just the color of the underlying wood. It keeps perfect time and does not make noise. The only problem is that the numbers are difficult to see if there is any light glare at all on the clock when it is hanging high up on the wall. I do like it, though, so I am considering possibly painting the numbers another color. I haven't done it yet, because I am afraid of ruining the clock's existing aesthetic.

Very well-crafted clock
We have enjoyed having this clock in our front room, and it seems to be very accurate and reliable. In retrospect, I should have gotten something that had a little more contrast as, at times, it's a little hard to read, but that is more likely my failing eyes. Super nice clock!

Nice clock once I worked on it.
The numbers were very faded. Old stock. I used a brown pencil to color them darker. Not good for an expexsive clock. The wood is very nice though

Five Stars
Good quality wood. Good quality paint job. Gray one looks very sharp.

Fantastic Clock
I have never written a review of a product on Amazon, but I felt compelled to for this item. It is exquisitely made and absolutely beautiful. I wish I could give it six stars to really separate it from other items I've enjoyed in the past, because I never realized that I could get excited about a clock. This is absolutely worth the money and I love having it in my home.
