So far this grab rail is proving to be very good. I followed the instructions and the tiles over my bath/shower are very smooth so the rail was easy to install. It's been on the wall for 5 days and although I have only used it to steady myself whilst showering, it feels firm and no sign of it loosening. The instructions state clearly that it is not meant to take full body weight which is fine for my purpose. I wouldn't expect a suction type grab bar to do so anyway.I am very happy with it at the moment.

Well worth the money brilliant grip

The colour indicators give one a false sense of security because the colour changes from 'red' to 'green' after the levers have been flipped; the pads don't have to be stuck to anything for that to happen!During the first few weeks, I found that one of the suction pads was becoming disengaged from the wall yet the indicator was still 'green', and that happened about once a week.After a month I noticed the angle of the grab rail had slipped and was at a different angle to that fitted. One of the suction pads had failed completely, and this was the first time that I noticed a 'red' indicator. Bizarrely, depending on the angle of observance, it appears 'red' from one side and 'green' from another!Although the faulty pad can easily be refitted to the wall, it will only stay stuck for a very short time so the indicator is on 'red' most of the time, but sometimes on 'green' too when not stuck.It is a pity because the product shows a lot of promise: the suction power is generally very strong when it's working (one pad is still working well after 6 weeks) and the grabrail is comfortable to the touch.It should be noted that the grab rail delivered by the seller was branded "Newthinking" on the rail and it came in a "Newthinking" box; there was no mention anywhere of the "Ainoking" brand advertised.

Saw a very similar product listed in a well known mail order catalogue for twice the price and this prompted me to get this for my wife who gets stuck in the bath when we go away to places which have baths without handles. In view of the price I was worried that it might be a bit flimsy, but it's robust and on the appropriate surface it grips extremely firmly. We intend to stick it to the bath sides. I would have some concern that attached to a tiles it could pull the tiles off if they weren't 100% secure. I think it's a great product.

Very sturdy fitting

Waste of money has been on the wall for a week and has fallen off three times…I followed instructions but to no avail …don’t waste your money!

This certainly sticks well, would recommend just for the support it gives, and without having to drill into the tiles.
