A present.
Gave these as a present because they were in a lovely tin. She loved them and she has tried quite a few makes of shortbread. Delicious she said but I notice she didn’t save one for me.

Good product, but a little expensive
I purchased this shortbread for a gift. The tin is well designed and very giftable, but is a lot smaller than I expected for the price. I'm sure you could pick up a similar product at the supermarket at a much better cost.

Review
A good little addition to a gift for someone. Cute little box with the shortbread. Not many in there but enough for a reasonable gift. Price is fairly over what I had wanted, but pricing was only going up from there and this definitely was the better of option. Flavour was perfect. No damage to the metal box either. A very gift able produce

Good not great
At the end of the day what you're paying for is the premium packaging of this shortbread, it makes a great gift but in terms of the taste of the actual biscuits, it's average at best and doesn't taste better than the regular shortbread sticks, in fact those ones probably taste richer and more buttery. So it makes a great gift and would be appreciated by the receiver, but to buy it for your eating pleasure, I don't think so.

Wonderful gift.
Bought these as a gift. Recipient was extremely happy. The shortbread melted in her mouth and the tin is a lovely keepsake.

These are delicious, authentic Scottish shortbread cookies. Light, buttery, and fresh. Really tasty. But … 1. They are quite expensive for 7 cookies. However, the tin is very cool! A keeper! 2. Based on my experience and other reviews, they consistently arrive crumbled. (3 out of the 7 in my tin were in pieces or dust.) 3. #2 could be solved by the sender packaging them better. Mine arrived in a thinly padded envelope - with nothing to keep it from jumbling around during shipping. (See picture). For the price, that is totally unacceptable! And is why I gave 4 stars. (I contemplated giving 3 stars - but didn’t want to imply the product itself wasn’t delicious. Packaging is something the seller could easily adjust - and should! Especially after so many reviews about broken product) Bottom line: I probably will not buy these again. Too expensive for 4 whole cookies! Instead I will make the effort and take the time to make my dear Aunt Jeannie’s short bread recipe. It’s the best anyway! My Scottish aunties all made short bread and hers was the best! They are denser and not as light but the flavor is amazing. So I will look forward to that fun … while reminiscing about the stories of my father and aunties about their days in the motherland, Scotland. To the seller: Change your packaging to protect this fragile product. And/or reduce your price!

I am now just using it for home instead of a gift since the metal container was dented.
