I'm so in love with this series!
Wings of Nestor is both breathtaking & heartbreaking as we join Kiora, Emane & Alcander for the penultimate book of the Solus series. As the synopsis tells us `Kiora needs answers' and now, more so than ever with her every move being discovered by `the Shadow' who constantly finds Kiora through her dreams and knows just where & when to strike, so when Kiora discovers how she is being tracked, she is forced to take drastic action to keep them safe which will have far reaching consequences for more than one of our characters. Kiora's perils do not end there as she is forced to put herself in more danger in the effort to gain information about the shadow & it's connection to Jasmine and none more dangerous than a trip to Toopai to see the dragon queen, the oldest known creature in the world who may be able to help Kiora put the pieces together.... That's if she survives the journey out there for as we all know, Dragons are not the most tolerable creatures and have been known to burn first, no need to ask questions later. On her travels she will make many discoveries, see first-hand just what the enemy is up to and come to understand just how far reaching the prophecy had been & that the seeds of her arrival were planted long before anyone knew.... But will it be enough to save them all and avert the coming war?I adored this instalment of the `Solus' series, it was always a given that I was going to love this book, just the same as I have loved the 2 that came before it because I am invested in this world, it's characters and their fates and Devri Walls creates a beautiful fantasy world that will suck you in and take you on the most awesome, epic adventure. This book could definitely be classed as the reconnaissance book of the series so be prepared to gain a huge insight into what's going on. Kiora's character has again progressed into a more mature person, making decisions & taking risks more freely, you can definitely see the leader in her emerging and totally feel her character preparing for what's to come in every move & every decision she makes and I'll be looking forward to seeing her reach her full potential in the final book. In the last book I was torn between Kiora's love interests, I still am... I do like what happened here but I'm saddened just the same (you'll understand when you read it) both Emane & Alcander are great in their own way so I was really feeling Kiora's dilemma and I have to say that it made me connect to the characters on another level too, I already stated that I'm not a fan of love triangles but something about how this is put across just adds to Kiora's trials & growth as a young woman. The storyline is as always, full of information, action, battles, adventure & excitement! it's putting pieces into place, it's drawing the line between friend & foe, it's realising people's intentions & potential, it's understanding just what's at stake, understanding the lengths & depths some will go to in the name of power and not just putting your life on the line... but your heart too. I thought this book was both breathtaking & heartbreaking, definitely the saddest of the series, especially towards the end and when some realisations are made. Breathtaking because there is always something new to be seen and discovered, awe inspiring scenery from buried underground temples & magically hidden houses to volcanic caves, covered in crystals & housing dragons, from those beautiful, colourful dragons, winged horses, shape shifting beings to tiny magical bugs holding huge secrets... truly amazing! & Heartbreaking..... well, I'll let you discover why but you will be left in no doubt as to what is at stake and why Kiora fights against all that is evil. I personally cannot wait for the last book - Wings of Lomay - and what promises to be the EPIC final instalment of the Solus series.

WOW!!!
This is book #3, and Oh. My. Gosh... What a book it was!!Kiora has had such an upheaval from life as she knew it. She always knew she was different but never understood! Aleric explained all of that to Kiora. Kiora has since continued on her journey and in herself has become stronger. Her magical powers have grown too; powers that rival only that of the Creators. She has gained a royal Protector who she has fallen in love with; and he with her. Seriously though, in a matter of months she has been through hell and back; and should probably have the t-shirt too! But that's still not enough. Kiora has continued to grow throughout each and every book, obstacle and her powers just seem to get stronger and stronger.Emane and Alcander have grown too. They begin to shine as main characters in their own right. They both support Kiora and do all they can to aid her.Alcander, I'm still not convinced about him. Okay so maybe I'm being a little harsh on him. I mean after all he has risked his own future happiness to help keep Kiora safe and to give her the ability to make her decision without the added guilt of knowing what Alcander has just risked. That said Alcander plays a big part in the heartache that Emane is suffering; that's not allowed!!Kiora isn't blame free either though. Fair enough she has been through soo much in the last few months but, after learning about the connection she now shares with Alcander she is openly flaunting that in Emane's face, which is bang out of order. I know that Kiora and Emane are having problems even being able to touch each other, but really Kiora do you have to be so cruel and rub it in his face?? Come here Emane I'll hold you!!Wings of Nestor is amazing and will transport you to a magical and breath taking world. The details are revealed just enough that I was kept guessing and the things to come remain secret, all the time I was kept wanting more and totally hooked. One such example of this is that Devri Walls reveals that Emane has seen a painting of one of Lomay's visions but she doesn't reveal what it is, I've been left on tenter hooks waiting to see what this turns out to be.My heart is almost completely broken, and I fear that before the end of book #4 my heart will be in shredded into tiny little pieces. I have been able to laugh, shout and cry at this book and I also fear that I will be shedding more tears before the series finishes.Wings Of Lomay promises to be an epic finale to the series. I'm almost too scared to read it, but I'm also excited and I HAVE to read it. I NEED to know what happens and how this all ends.

Amazing series that just keeps getting better!
This series...what more can I even say about it? It gets better and better with each book. Devri has stolen my heart with this series. I am not an emotional person while reading books, at all. I do get attached to characters, but never to the point of being really emotionally upset (aka: getting all teary eyed over them). This book made me almost cry like a baby multiple times though. I am completely committed to this series and the characters. Devri amazes me with every new installment that comes out, making each one better than the previous and leaving me wanting to rip my hair out while waiting for the next book.I feel there is almost not much I can even say about Wings of Nestor that I haven't said in the past already about Wings of Arian and Wings of Tavea. The bottom line though is that Wings of Nestor was even better than the previous two novels, it was amazing, it was beautiful, and it was also heart wrenching. Devri is an author that continues to amazes me with each new book, the Solus series has completely captivated me, and now that we are coming up on the fourth and final book...I find myself not wanting it to end.I don't want to give too much away since this is a sequel and alot happens, but I will go ahead and talk about a few things that I completely adored in Wings of Nestor. First, I need to talk about Alcander. *le sigh* When I saw Alcander on the cover, I freaked. I totally fan girled. I may have even squealed..okay I totally squealed, but can you blame me?!?! That cover does the beautiful Alcander justice! ANYWAYS, when I saw that cover I had my fingers crossed that we would get alot more of Alcander in Wings of Nestor..and guess what ladies and gents? WE GOT JUST THAT! Alcander was in this novel so much more, and I loved it! In Wings of Nestor we get to learn so much more about Alcander, about his past, about the type of person he is and what his fears are, and we just learn SO much about him. And all of it made me love Alcander even more than I already did. Don't get me wrong, I love Emane too, but Alcander easily takes my heart. So if you are a fan of Alcander (which I know alot of you are) then be excited to pick this up becuase there is ALOT more Alcander to fill your needs! (:Moving on from Alcander my second favorite part of Wings of Nestor was getting to see the dragon mountain of Toopai. Devri described it so beautifully, I was able to picture everything so well, the dragons with bright colors, the volcano, the Queen of the dragons and her multi colored skin. The dragons home was a beautiful place. Not only was it a beautiful place, but this was also a part in the book where I got a wee bit teary eyed. There is talk of Morcant while Kiora is there, and it made me sad. I seriously missed Morcant as a character so much that I found myself being sad with Kiora over him not being around. Those were easily my two favorites things about Wings of Nestor. Besides those things this book, like the past ones, had an amazing adventure, action, romance, and everything you want in a fantasy. You get to know the characters alot more in Wings of Nestor and watch them go through alot. This book is also quite heart breaking. You've been warned. Devri's writing was once again superb, and while I am sad to see there is only ONE book left to this series, I am also very excited for whatever future worlds and stories Devri will come up with. I am sure after reading and obsessing over her Solus series, that any future work of hers will be brilliant. If you have read the past two books in the Solus series, or if you have just read book one then I highly suggest you continue reading onward. It will only get better and you do not want to miss out on this series. If you have yet to pick up the Solus series, and are a fan of awesome Fantasy novels, then you seriously need to pick this series up...like now!

Best of the series so far!
Walls keeps improving with each book, which makes WINGS OF NESTOR my favorite of the series! There's not a dull moment in this story. It's jam-packed with action, romance, adventure, dragons, heartbreak, magic, and dragons. Did I mention dragons??I love how much Kiora has grown as a character. I was rooting for her and backing her up when none of the other characters believed her. I didn't anticipate the twist in the story, which is great--I love getting surprised by stories!I'm Team Alcander all the way. I mean, look at that cover! Need I say more?? Despite the swoony romance in this book, it stays clean, and as a mom, I greatly appreciate that. Clean language too. Can't wait for the final book in this series!!

Read this in one day!
Another great book to the whole series, but now I'm excited for the end. I really love how the author is still amazing us with new twists and turns in the book. I'm not going to ruin anything, but this book was I feel more about using logic and feelings to make decisions. I believe in this day and age not a lot of people do. Also I love on how we continue to see kiora grow up and truly embrace her destiny. On to the last book!

Let the GREATNESS continue.
The greatnest continues. I started reading and didn't want to stop. I don't want to spoil the details. The struggle to fight the darkness and figure out who the darkness identity is or rather continues. The love triangle that was created in the last book comes to light at the beginning of this one and keep me rooting for my favorite hero to prevail. Throw in the assorted mystical animals personalities and humour to the cast of characters and you have the makings of a great edge of your set epic romantic adventure. I know you will not regret this choice to read.I know I didn't!

I'm addicted to this series
I got the first solus book free on my kindle just as something to read. I got so caught up in the story, that i imediately bought the second, and was searching for this one, for a long while before it was released. It did not let me down.I love it and am now waiting on the next, as i continue to reread these three.

I have been waiting impatiently for this book and I have to say I was glad I did. I was more than impressed and every page was a thrill to me. Now all I need is Wings of Lomay and everything will be perfect! Sadly I have to wait for it to come out first!

Wings of Nestor is a awesome book, very entertaining
Love the Solus series, can't wait for the next book to come out!! Thanks Devri, keep up the good work :-) I am really happy that Kiora choose Alcander. I loved Emane too, but Kiora will never be the same "normal" person again. Emane is a king and has a kingdom to go back to in the "normal" world. I can't wait to read the next book "Wings of Lomay. Thank you again for the entertainment. Wendy
