Straightforward
I am really happy with this printer, set up was very easy to my computer, wireless so no more lugging the computer to the place where the printer was to connect via usb which was how I connected my old printer. This wireless connection makes things seamless. I particularly like the way it will convert scans to file and save them in the correct identified folder to the computer, one step straight away, very helpful. The website and connection is great, very well made and the print quality is very good, much better than my previous printer which was 10 years old and was retired which is why I went with this one, purposefully for the ink tanks and I am very happy with the ink bottles and usage of ink for the prints. Overall, very good.

Almost brilliant - spoilt by miserly penny pinching
After the initial set up - Wi-Fi was challenging - Great printer with two unexpected and disappointing feature omissions! . Colour printing excellent as is the response to print and the speed! This is having just printed out about 10 inches of accounts information in A4 paper without a hitch However, although this printer has a scanner there is no paper feed and you have to scan documents manually, second, you guessed it, it cannot undertake automatic double sided printing! You have to reload the documents yourself - hopefully in the correct order and right way up. Totally disappointing when you consider the price- my first canon printer had all these features built in and even the cheapest canon models have this as standard.

Quality Canon printer
The printer was very easy to set up, and works really well. Very good quality of print, whether colour or black and white.

Super printer
I was surprised by the excellent quality of the colour photos this printer turned out. I was worried they may not be up to the quality of my last 8 year old Epson but in fact they were better. All round it’s easy to use . The one downside is it shuts itself down if not in use and doesn’t sleep so I have to go to it turn it on to print. Previous printer woke up and printed. Maybe I’ll look at instructions and see if it can remain in sleep mode.

Crap build quality
It printed well to start with, but after a month or so the internal mechanism developed a mind of it's own resulting in the printer being unable to print. I contacted customer support who tell me I have to send it back for repair. This will take a minimum of a month, so I need to get another printer in the meantime. My advice? Don't get this printer, do get a different one that works for more than a few months.

Good product.
The printer arrived within 3days, great service. Easy to set up if you follow a u-tube video. A tank printer, so cheap to run. Quality of print is very good.

It's OK but.....
Very competent printer, easy to use, love the ink reservoir system Canon Print app does what it needs to but..... I had a pixma 990 before and the build quality of the new printer is not a patch on the old one, plus I have an ethernet wired house and this is wireless only - a backward step maybe.

Difficult to set up - airprint ‘failed’
I cannot still get it to connect to the internet, but it copies in colour excellently. I should have realised that I need an Ethernet wired connection and can’t rely on “air” connection which it says it has. So set up was a pain, with no printed instructions, and the screen’s type-size is minuscule - I need a magnifying glass to read. In all, potentially a great machine- if only I could make it work (I have had many printers over the years, but this has been the hardest to get working. Fortunately I have an old-style printer as back-up. But I hate being defeated by a new gadget.!)
