I'm not expecting exact results, but I think the thermometer does a decent job of reading temps. I mostly use it as a candy thermometer without the mess of cleaning. Yes I know it's not as accurate, but it's close enough you should know when you're at temp and need to adjust.

Will use on RV trips, worth the price just to watch wheel bearing temps and tire sidewall temps.

Works well and I think it is fairly accurate. But the laser pointing device quit working after about 6 weeks of use, which happen to be outside the return period for this product. Not sure if I would buy it again.
