Works OK enough
The product is good enough and protected my stomach from the mountain water. Not enough value for money with ease of use though

Well made, easy to use. We bought this for travel - not for backpacking (it is pretty heavy). We have been using it for tap water in countries where it is not safe to drink. The design makes it very easy to use and the separation between dirty water and clean water works well. The quantity of water produced is good and given it takes less than a minute it is very practical. The filter is easy to fit and remove and has lasted us so far. I can only say we have not got sick as to its effectiveness. There is some chlorine in some of tap water and this has removed the taste. It is not cheap but I think it is certainly worth the money.

Bought the above. Can somebody who knows these things confirm that all I do is remove the top, fill with water, replace the top and then I'm good to go with this product and just drink beautiful clean water? On the plus side I'm in UK and it arrived very quickly with great tracking info from USA. Lightweight.

I bought this on a whim after running out of water, which I have to fetch from a couple of miles away. It’s simple to use, although it does take my full weight to press down. If you struggle with pain or weakness in your hands or wrists then this probably isn’t the filter for you. I used a few layers of a woven cotton scarf over the opening of the outer container to pre-filter any algae or large bits of debris. The water tastes good after purifying , and makes a lovely cup of tea. I haven’t suffered any ill effects, so it looks like it does the job. The Geopress is big if you’re backpacking. The smaller one is a better bet if weight and size is a consideration. For me though, this is perfect. It took a few minutes to get myself a couple of litres of clean, fresh water. The silicone one-way valve is a little bit fiddly to remove when it’s wet but all in all it’s a beautifully simple design that works brilliantly. Thank you, Grayl!
