All of my cats have been indoor/outdoor roamers, which is a huge problem for the local wildlife, especially birds. Now birds are interesting creatures and can see colors far better than we can. So although a bell is a fine warning - yes, birds can hear quite well - it doesn't really signify danger and possible death to them.So my cats all have the fun (and occasional humiliation) of wearing a bright, bright, very bright colorful 3" wide fabric "bib" which threads onto a regular breakaway cat collar like these (yes, you have to remove the little bell first because it is in the way). You can sew them, use something like Stitch Witchery if you don't sew, or purchase one (usually called "Bird Safe Collar").They work. They work remarkably well. So well, in fact, that one of my most determined feline hunters completely gave up and switched to killing rats (rats don't have the visual skills that birds do). She is my hero!

I was skeptical ordering these collars , my cat is indoor outdoors and gets caught up at times in the neighbors fencing , so breakaway collars are the safest she needs replacements every few months and the bell is vital to give birds a safe fair warning that she is present . The bell is larger and sturdier than most and the collar width is generous with quality materials used in making them and the bonus 12 count ! Do not hesitate to purchase these sturdy bright colored collars they are great quality !

I purchased other collars that were supposed to be quick release but my cats could undo little clip on inside. (Just clawing under it) They could take them off in minutes.These ones only come off when cat gets caught on something - in this case, garage door.I got ten of these for the price of one of the collars that don't stay on.

Just got them, so a little too early to talk about durability, but the variety in colors is great, they look very well made and they were easy to resize (for small kittens or adult cats). If I need more collars, I will definitely re-buy.

I had a hard time keeping track of my kitten in the house, could never tell where he was. Now with this little collar, I can hear him. I found an extra bonus when he went outside without me knowing it. I could hear the bell which made it easier for me to locate him. Love the color options too.

My hunter cat must wear a collar when she's outside. I have gotten used to seeing these colors on her, they're bright, easy to put on, nice breakaway feature, so no worries about getting caught. I will buy more after she breaks away 8 times!! Great bargain.
