Gen-1 not Gen-2
Don't get confused by the images. This is the Gen-1 watch (the price should give it away really). Yes, the screen isn't as crystal clear. However, it is still an amazing piece. Cards on the table, I use it for less than 20% of its potential but it has never let me down and the battery life hasn't reduced noticeable since day one.

The display on the Gen 1 is the traditional Garmin display that I like. Always on, great in direct sunlight, doesn't create a distracting light show in a dim or dark room. The Gen 2 are OLED.

I've used Garmin watches for the past six years, and after reading some of the negative reviews here, it's clear many of those folks have never actually owned a Garmin. Yes, the screen isn’t ultra-bright like some other brands—but that’s the point. It’s still easy to read, even in daylight, and the design looks clean and sharp. I’m not a fan of flashy displays that burn through battery life in a day. This watch strikes the right balance, it looks great, feels solid, and delivers all the features you’d expect from Garmin. Highly recommend for anyone who actually values function.

Doesn't worth the money... I think I never buy garmin again. Screen is not good and dark even with 100 % luminosité. Quality is not good for the price... I was very disappointed.

I'm a fairly serious runner and so despite the very high cost, I sprang for the Marq. From a functionality perspective (I upgraded from a Fenix 5), I love the new OS. The widgets are great and I am also finding that the new GPS chipset is significantly better than the Fenix especially when I run in Manhattan near tall buildings. Finally, I find the race predictor to be far more accurate than the fenix 5. While most of the things in the above paragraph might also hold true for the Fenix 6 or Forerunner 945, I also really like the titanium case, weight and size of the Marq enough to justify the extra cost. It feels less bulky than the fenix and the materials feel (and look) like they are higher quality.
