Perfect fit came fully charged
Perfect fit and came almost fully charged was recognized buy the unit immediately. Would buy again.

Battery falls out
First of all, the battery did not securely fit into the Garman GPS. I had to wedge a piece of cardboard behind the release button in order to get it to lock into place. The battery worked fine for about two months but then my GPS would no longer recognize that the battery was installed and would read “Battery Missing” when plugged into power which is a classic sign that the battery is dead and not able to accept a charge. And of course, Amazon return window closes after one month and I’m stuck with a worthless battery after two months.

DEFECTIVE DESIGN
This battery is meant to be a direct replacement for the original Garmin battery in my portable GPSmap 478.It does not stay securely in place when installed in the unit; it pops out with ease.Clearly a defective design. I returned it and will search for alternate supplier.
