My old breadmaker quit working
Well, it sort of worked, but seemed to be screwing up bread - like it would raise and then when cooking it would fall and just look awful. I don't really know what was happening - seems a heating coil regulator or something like that had gone wonky. I LOVE MY HOMEMADE BREAD AND HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER MACHINE!!! Yeah, yeah, I could go back to doing it manually, but I had gotten used to putting the ingredients in the pan of the bread maker and letting it make the bread. So...I had to find a good replacement and I did quite a search and looked through several bread makers before settling on this Cuisinart one. First, I had one of the original Cuisinart food processors that lasted me about 25-30 years before the plastic started showing too much wear and tear (some pieces cracked off) and even then I found one at a Goodwill store that was exactly like mine so I got more years out of it! I also have a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and during the summer, I have made some darn good ice cream in it! Now, back to this particular bread maker - it is Cuisinart, but I loved the little add-in ingredient drawer so that part is now "automated" should I want cinnamon swirl breakfast bread or spice and pumpkin seed bread as examples. My old bread maker's "menu window" that showed what I had programmed in was horrible! It had a sort of silver background with black lettering and the size of the loaf was nothing more than a DOT showing at the bottom of the screen! This bread maker has a bright, easy-to-read screen is so much better and I love that it has the "confirm" button as my old one was just basically start/stop. I love the ten beeps to let me take the dough out, remove the paddle, add the dough back and have bread with no paddle sticking out of the bottom. Last, is the way this one is more...horizontal instead of vertical if that makes sense. This Cuisinart bread maker has the bread "bucket" on the left-hand side where the old one had the menu in the front, the bread bucket in the back. I really didn't like that set up as I am shorter and trying to pull that bread bucket out was often more difficult when it was hot and I wanted to pull the bread to cool it off. So...this Cuisinart has several features as noted above that means I am going to be thrilled to make bread every week! OH, and if you have issues with bread makers and the lower bread sizes (not tall like the store-bought, air-puffed breads), follow your favorite bread maker yeast bread recipe BUT ADD IN a tablespoon of vital wheat gluten (used in vegetarian seitan and other vegan recipes to create meatless meat) for each one cup of flour called for in your bread recipe. I have scaled my addition of vital wheat gluten (and please keep it in your refrigerator) to 2/3rds or 2 Tablespoons of vital wheat gluten to 3 cups flour. You will find your bread rises really well and looks absolutely beautiful compared to store-bought puffed up bread! But in the end, this is my best-buy Cuisinart machine to date - it may be YOURS as well!

So far, so good! (Purchased: Used: 'Very Good' Convection Model)
I have been very pleased with my purchase of a 'Used: Very Good' cbk-210 cuisinart convection bread maker. You never know what exactly you might get, if you're not buying a new product, so I was impressed that the machine showed up in original packaging - and in seemingly brand new condition. First day of trying it out, it appears perfectly functional. I'll still need to practice and dial in using it, but it's actually very intuitive. (My cuisinart multi-use airfryer I got from Costco is more complicated than this bread maker, by far.) While not a top tier brand, so far it has delivered two loaves of 100% delicious, properly made and baked homemade bread. I also bought Betty Crockers 'Best Bread Machine Cookbook' as well (because Betty is practical, easy and delives reliable recipes anyone can follow with success). So far, it looks like a great cookbook for a wide variety of no fuss bread recipes that I look forward to trying and will work seamlessly with my ne cuisinart bread maker. In all, if you are looking for a reliable, affordable home bread machine, I would recommend this cuisinart convection bread maker. I love bread, but I'm breaking off my relationship with all of the weird preservatives in commercially made stuff. If you find yourself asking: 'why/how does store bought bread last so long?' and would rather eat more real food, I suggest giving this bread maker a try. It's an incredibly easy change to make. And, it tastes better.

Good Brand, Good Size, Good Price!
Update: I’ve had this for two weeks and I’ve made about six loaves of bread. No problems with machine at all. All bread came out great. Used Bread Dad’s recipes. The nut, fruit dispenser is a bit touchy. If I close it with too much effort, the nuts and fruits will dump out. They still get mixed in, just not at the right time. Received the his today! Spent time reviewing machines, and I wanted a machine that would add the nuts or fruit automatically. I didn’t want to pay $400 for a big machine. This one is a good size and easy to keep on the counter. It’s easy to take the pan out and put back in. It’s easy to set up the machine, and worked flawlessly! No problems at all! I used a white bread recipe from a site called “Bread Dad”. Tons of easy to do recipes! Tips etc! Can’t wait to try more recipes!

Good bread maker overall, but flimsy mix-in dispenser
I have owned different bread makers for many years. When the previous one died, I tried to buy a no-name one first, but it was a disaster, and I had to return it. This one I like. It does what it is supposed to do, feels solid and has an excellent warranty. My only complaint is the mix-in dispenser. It is too small (less than a cup of raisins), and more importantly, often opens when I close it. It has happened more than once, so I now always insert a paper towel, when I close it full of ingredients, just in case.

Just add your ingredients, select size & darkness then hit start (yes, it's that easy).
Great little bread maker. Not too big or heavy for what it does. Just add your ingredients, select size & darkness then hit start (yes, it's that easy). Before you know it, you have a loaf of bread. Made 2 (1 small & 1 large) loafs and they were awesome! Homemade bread is so yummy.

Undercooked bricks
Bought it for the gluten free bread option. Huge fail! Used the gluten free bread recipe (three attempts) in the User Manual and turned out under cooked, no rise dense bricks about 2" high. Not intuitive on how to adjust baking time so not able to see if doing so will change results. Tried recipe on back of GF bread flour package and had better results, but still under done with excess flour on outside of loaf. Either I have a defective unit or Cuisinart needs to make corrections to the user manual.

Cumpre o que promete. Observando as dosagens dos ingredientes nas diversas receitas tem entregado excelentes pães.

This worked really well for us right out of the box. The flour loaves have been nicely formed and perfectly baked. We baked a gluten-free loaf which wasn't so well formed, but gluten-free baking is quite a challenge and we can't blame the machine. We haven't used the timer function. We used it twice to make sure it worked all right before giving it to our daughter for her birthday. She and her family have used it numerous times since, and are very happy with it.

Regresare la maquina, no es ni parecida a la que tenia anteriormente. El pan me resulto sin levar y duro, tire toda la receta, devolvere la maquina y comprare una que es mas caro el costo pero mucho mas recomendable.
