Brass Monkey Poorly Explained Movies – Party Game with 125 Cards Featuring Uniquely Terrible Descriptions of Movies, Suitable for 2-8 Players

We are a game family always looking for board games, card games, made up games! This was perfect for hanging out and adding a game into the mix. We didn't really play teams - just someone read the card, whoever guessed correctly got the card and read the next. The person with the most cards in front of them wins. Age of my group playing - 22, 26, 55, 80. The 20somethings (who watch movies all the time) knew most of the answers, then 55s, then the 80s. There are a variety of movie genres & decades. It's not easy peasy, required some thought almost every time and we did need the hints about 50% of the time! Anywho - it was a hit. Kids liked it, generated conversation, got some laughs!

Love this game, it is great for family events because it is a game where everyone can guess and you don’t need to keep score.

Super simple, fun game that isn't even really a game, as a conversation starter. Can be played in the car, at the table, or anywhere really. Perfect for casual family gatherings. Each card has simple, silly, but technically correct, descriptions of popular holiday movies and specials, plus a hint if the guesser(s) doesn't clock it right away. You could keep score, or play in groups/teams or solo, or you can just casually read the card and let everyone try and shout out an answer. Play can go on for as little, or as long, as you'd like, and it's suitable for all ages. Small enough to fit in a purse or coat pocket, the perfect thing to take on long car rides, or keep sitting on the kitchen counter or coffee table at the holidays for random moments when people just feel like sharing a couple moments together. Great way to spark a conversation about forgotten movies that lead into traditions and sharing of personal favorites. The only ding I have is that it's pretty easy to go through the entire box in a fairly short period of time, and once you've heard the descriptions a time or two, there's not a lot of re-playability incentive.

Was a fun stocking stuffer for a movie lover.

We have played now with several groups of friends. We do not play correctly, we just keep passing it around and guess as a group. Oh but so much fun. Lots of Laughs and Lots of thinking. Would recommend, honestly, If you play once, it was worth it.

While playing this game we all laughed and had a great time.

Not what I expected, too odd to be fun. I regret my purchase for the price I paid. Only played it once and now it's going to charity.

Very fun to play with family

Great game, there is a huge variety of movies on there so the "hints" that are on each card are a great help. If you are a real movie buff you may have heard of some of the movies but not be familiar enough to understand the poorly explained plot. The examples on the box are from more popular movies.

Fun to play with your friends! Will keep you guessing all night!
