This is a fully Automatic 36V 18A Golf Cart Charger. This charger will turn ON and OFF as needed. This charger can be left plugged in at all times as it fully self reliant and will do what it needs to do when it needs to do it. This is the closest thing to an OEM Charger.

Q: I have an EZGO TXT 36V. Batteries are Continental 2GC-110. What mode do I set the charger on?

This charger is set on mode 2 from the factory. That is the setting you will need to leave it on with your Continental batteries.

Q: I plugged my unit in and it just stays on detection mode. Any help?

Mine did the same and was warm to touch while not plugged into cart. It works great, I just always unplug from 120v until I need for the next charge. It's always a good idea to keep it unplugged anyway while not in use in case you have a lighting strike voltage surge. The volt surge will destroy the unit.

I am sorry, I do not have an answer for the problem. You may have a dead cell in one of your batteries. I have an identical charger and it always produces a full charge.
