I had to use them on an outside wall so I built my own box worked really well

I had to do some emergency plumbing replacement of my old PB pipe due to a failure in my garage. At the time, I had PEX B tools and needed a quick solution. Now I have acquired equipment and tools to convert my whole house to PEX A, and I will be replacing the PEX B with the repiping job.This PEX A washer box was cost competitive compared to buying just the PEX A valves. This is exactly the same size as my PEX B box so I replaced the whole box without any major work. I did have to lower it a couple inches to accommodate the cemented drain pipe, but I was able to do this with minimal drywall work. After expanding and installing my pex a, and giving it a minute for the expansion ring to contract, these valves were completely dry. These are quarter turn valves, so turning the water on or off is quick and easy. Obviously the valves seal completely and no leaks are present through the ball valve.The washer does fill a tiny bit faster now with PEX A vs PEX B, but the biggest advantages are simplicity and longevity. Having installed both systems in my garage wall, PEX A (with a powered expansion tool) is far faster and easier, easier to install in tight spaces, and far less prone to incorrect installation. PEX A tubing is more flexible and the connections are closer to the listed pipe ID. I wish I did it right the first time, would have saved me some trouble.This valve set and box are the same quality as what the hardware stores sell, but the price of this set is much cheaper. The system of PEX this box uses is all around a better system, provided you have access to the tools needed.

The short version of this review is that this is a well-made washing machine outlet box at a very reasonable price. The highlights are:Packaging (5/5): This product comes securely packaged in a decent box and everything arrived undamaged. I also appreciated the fact that there was bubble wrap over the end of the package where the pex inlets and bracket were, filling some voids in the box and ensuring that nothing slid around during transit.Quality (5/5): This outlet box is very similar in quality to more expensive models sold in big box stores. In fact, the plastic feels a bit sturdier than those more expensive options! The valves turn easily and fully engage/disengage quickly.Features (5/5): This product has all of the same features that you would expect from a washing machine outlet box. The bracket for mounting box to studs, the removable faceplate (which can be taken off for drywall installation then slipped on afterward to trim out the edges of the box nicely), and the valves and drain outlets are all there. It is noteworthy that the outlet box includes drain outlets at the top and bottom (so that the box can be mounted in either direction). Also, the plugs for the drain outlets have a small gasket on them that will prevent any unwanted odors if the drain sits unused for an extended period of time and the p-trap dries out.Ultimately, this box is very competitive with the other options on the market, but at a lower price point. As someone who has paid a higher price for comparable products, this feels like a win-win to me!

I'm sure this was meant for someone who knew exactly what they were doing but we did not so we struggled with it. Directions definitely are needed for novices. Once installed though it feels like a quality piece. Knossos turned easily for us.

This SUNGATOR Washing Machine Outlet Box came in handy when I needed to move a new washer/dryer to another room. It sets right into the drywall hole and this outlet box was perfect. It's very sturdy and should hold up for many years. It's a great buy.

I would purchase this again if needed. Everything was as advertised.

It includes the rings and the mounting brackets making it a ready-to-nail-in installation.The only drawback I would point out is that this kit does not come with hammer arrestors, which is common in Pex washing machine boxes these days. FYI, adding hammer arrestors later would bring the total price above those washing machine boxes that has them already included.However, I already had the hammer arrestors, so this was perfect!
