Easy to clean, smell less, bag hold together, money saving, and functional.

I’ve been using the Litter Genie XL+ Pail for a few weeks now, and it does a good job of controlling odors and making litter disposal more convenient. However, there’s a frustrating issue with the locker mechanism.Pros:✔ Effective Odor Control – The pail does a great job sealing in odors, keeping my home smelling fresh.✔ Easy to Use – The one-handed operation makes disposal quick and easy.✔ Large Capacity – The XL+ size is perfect for a multi-cat household, as I don’t have to empty it as often.✔ Includes Jumbo Refill – The included refill bag lasts a decent amount of time.Cons:➖ Locker Always Comes Loose – The locker mechanism that holds the lid closed is very flimsy and constantly comes loose, which is quite annoying.➖ Refills Are Expensive – While the pail is useful, the cost of replacement bags can add up quickly.Final Thoughts:While the odor control and ease of use make this system great, the locker issue is a major inconvenience. If that can be fixed, it would be a much more reliable product. I’m on the fence about recommending it because of this flaw.

We recently moved and the new litter box setup does not lend to easily removing and throwing out the daily scooping and there was no good place for the litter scoop. While searching for a litter scoop with a holder I came across the Litter Genie and it immediately caught my attention. This seemed like it would solve all my problems with one piece-and I was correct! I have one litter box for my small female cat, so I don’t have a lot to scoop. We got the Litter Genie in the beginning of December and have only had to change it twice (approx once a month). The Litter Genie has been fantastic keeping my house odor free. I was skeptical but we have had friends and family and even nurses and home health care for my elderly mother-in-law in the home and a number of people were surprised to see our cat, saying they ‘always’ know when a cat is in a household, but they couldn’t smell anything. The Litter Genie XL+ (the style we have) is easy to set up and empty. I’m very happy with this purchase and wish I’d discovered it earlier.

So far so good for this larger version of the litter genie. Takes a little bit to get use to as I had the older ones for quite a while. Mine did not come with springs so I was happy to have read someone's review about the springs. I took my springs out from the older smaller ones and placed it in this one. The springs are needed otherwise the sliding latch will open after a little while. Not sure why they didn't include springs on this larger updated version as it's something that is needed! With the springs on it works exactly as my older ones, no smell, just perfect. So keep your old springs and place inside this one. Otherwise you will have to purchase some.

This Litter Genie works great! I reviewed a different brand that was getting pretty good reviews but this is a great price and I like how simple it is and NO smell.

It does the job, but in my opinion is an inferior product compared to the 'Litter Champ' which I used previously but switched to this due to Litter Champ seemingly going out of business and the bag refills no longer being available.Compared to the Litter Champ, this product lacks a foot pedal to open the lid, meaning I have to open it with my hands. Cutting off is kind of awkward as you have to swing open the entire lid which can be somewhat heavy and have a tendency to tip the entire unit over if it is a fresh refill which can be annoying when you are trying to cut the bag with the attached blade. The litter champ simply had a front door at the bottom that swung open and didn't have any of these issues. The bags seem to be stronger than the litter champ bags, but other than hat basically everything about this product seems worse in all honesty.
