Honeywell 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Adjustable Thermostat, 7 settings, Quiet, 150 sq ft Coverage

Bought it for emergencies, but like it so much I’ll use it everyday. We have power outages during monsoon season and was looking to a energy efficient ac to run on a solar generator that was also cost effective and had a remote. This unit was perfect. Initial stress test on the generator was 498W then dropped to 55W once it reach 75 degrees. Then I switched it to ECO and it dropped to 9W. This is AMAZING 9W. Disconnected the portable unit and opted to use this unit instead. I did put a small usb fan to push the air further across the room, but it doesn’t need it. I just prefer the fan. I did a temporary installation just to run a stress test so pardon the pictures but it’s wattage that I’m officially bragging about. Low noise levels the key is insulating between all the contact areas with the window and bottom of the unit all sealing all the gaps. Great option for RV, tiny home, or bedroom.

Bought this to replace my over worked 6k BTU in the living room. Keeps the room very cool, and I notice it’s kicking on and off when needed so I’ll be saving money without using the 6k BTU constantly on. Did come with minor damage but this was due to UPS and not the shipper or Amazon. Amazon customer support on this issue was amazing! Should have bought two!

I got the 6000btu version and its far more quiet than my previous 5000btu LG window unit. This 6000btu unit runs so quiet I can't even tell when the compressor is or isnt running. The fan is a little loud at first when on high but its easy to get use to considering the compressor system is so quiet.Pros- compressor system is very quiet and unit cools great in a properly sized room and it works as it should and the price is decent.Cons- the window fins on each side are not sealed in the top and bottom where the fins meet the frame so bugs and hot air can get in and theres a big gap under the unit where it sits in the window. They do provide some foam but it's not enough and won't fit in or fill all of the gaps. Its not a huge deal I just used a cheap can of spray foam to fill in any gaps that the provided foam couldnt.Overall- for the price and a little bit of extra work, its a pretty good unit if you are using it In a room under 300 square feet and dont mind taking the little extra time to seal it up properly.

After ordering one that didn’t work during a heat wave, this was heavily anticipated. It’s been working phenomenal for a large bedroom to keep it cool ever since arriving. Easy setup!

The noise level for a 6,000 btu unit is simply unacceptable. It runs really rough and actually vibrates the room. It makes a terrible buzz when it's running the compressor no matter what you set the fan speed to. Adjusting the vent doesn't actually make any difference to the way the air comes out, it's just for show. It's so loud that I would rather try to sleep in the heat than sleep with this thing kicking on and off throughout the night. This replaced an old Frigidaire 5,000 btu and that old Frigidaire was so much more quiet and didn't vibrate at all. I will switch back to a Frigidaire unit soon!

Easy to put in window. Cools tour dining room living room and kitchen very well, we have a little over400sqft. Has an eco setting that saves !very quiet too!

I bought this to go in a slider window that is only 18" wide. It fits perfectly!! I built a support frame for it to sit on, filled in the open area above with wood and the foam that came with it, finally I filled in the rest of the cracks with strips of foam. I am very happy with this purchase. i like the remote, too.

I wouldn't buy this unit as your only ac unit I live in an rv and my overhead broke so needed something just to cool off my camper until I could fix my ac we were having high temperatures that week I bought this unit in the 90s it did absolutely nothing for my house in the day I think it was hotter inside then out but I will say once the temperatures dip down I to the 70s at night it was very cool in my rv I will say for 199 and 6000 but I think I got what I paid for
