Good quality, Good price.
Spot on. Easy app and quality recording. Be warned, it doesn't come with a micro SD card, but you can buy two 64gb class 10 cards on here for 8.99.I bought the C type OBD plug, so in effect it's hard wired (without fiddling with fuses) for a tenner - also on here. This isn't suitable for some cars as their OBD socket has a flap/cover on it. Mine (Astra K) has it open in the driver's footwell so it's handy and frees up the cigarette lighter socket. They come with a switch so if you're parking up for long periods make sure it's switched off or it'll eventually drain the battery; but if you're just shopping or visiting etc for a few hours it'll keep recording everything in it's line of vision.Very small and light so unlikely to fall once stuck to windscreen.

Excellent quality Dashcam
I wanted a Small affordable Dashcam and chose this one based on the good Amazon reviews and I wasn't disappointed. As it does everything it says on the Amazon description. I was so impressed, I purchased another one for my son's car.It looks and feels well made and it's easy to set up and run. Downloading the JarvisCam App and connecting my Smart Phone presented no problems and there is even a small plastic lever tool to help me conceal the cable in the car's trim. Once in place with a Mico SD Card inserted (not included in the kit) and connected with the supplied cable it came on with no problem when the ignition was turned on. I then loaded the App on the iPhone and the screen then shows what the camera is seeing and I could also alter any available settings. The video is of excellent quality both night and day. I could download the videos to my iPhone or remove the SD Card and dowload them to my Laptop which I found was quicker and more convenient.Included in the kit are 2 x Electrostatic windscreen stickers and 2 x 3M double sided stickers for mounting the Dashcam. I've used one and kept the other as a spare in case I need to move the Dashcam in the future. The Seller has posted up some useful videos about every aspect of setting up and using the Dashcam which you will receive links to after you have purchased the Camera.I required a USB Type-C cable for one of the Cameras and had to contact Customer Support for advice. They replied very quickly and a cable was despatched totally free of charge.Al in all, I am more than satisfied both with the Cameras and the after-sales from Customer Support and wouldn't hessitate to give this camera my recommendation to anyone who wants a low cost, quality Dashcam which is small enough to be discretely hidden behind the rearview mirror.

Cheap and cheerful, but capable
The Bestsee X9 is quite cheap, which is what attracted me to it (I just wanted to try a dash cam out to learn about them), so you shouldn’t expect a massively high quality item, but despite its low cost is well made. It has a USB C port and a micro SD card slot on one side and a button on the other (which I haven’t used). Opposite the lens is a small display that shows the device’s status. The camera is very small and so easy to conceal behind the central mirror. The camera doesn’t come with an SD card, and there is some conflicting information as to what capacity it will accept, with one picture showing recording times with cards up to 256 GB, but somewhere else it mentions that it supports up to 128 GB, though some reviewers have mentioned using 256 GB. I opted to play safe and got a 128 GB card, and the first problem was that the camera didn’t recognise that it was plugged in. I removed it and plugged it into my computer, and it was formatted as exFAT, but there was no Windows format option to format it as FAT32 (only NTFS and exFAT showed), which is what devices like this tend to use. The solution is easy though – use the Jarviscam application to connect to the X9 and format it from the settings screen, which you will want to use to configure the camera anyway. When the SD card is plugged into a PC, it then shows as FAT32, and connecting this way is a much quicker way to offload clips when you need to (the WiFi is quite slow). The exFAT format has advantages over FAT32 for high capacity SD cards, so it would be an improvement if the camera supported exFAT.Attaching the device is easy with the supplied clear pads, which I trimmed down in size, and to start with I just used the supplied cable that plugs into the car’s 12 V outlet. If your car doesn’t have one of these and has USB sockets instead, then you can use a USB lead to power the camera (it might have been better to supply a 12 V outlet with a couple if USB A sockets on it and a USB A-C cable instead, but this would add cost). Aligning the device is performed using the Jarviscam application (the small screen does not show what the camera is seeing). On first use, all was well, as it recorded my trip to work just fine (and contrary to what other reviewers have said, you don’t need the Jarviscam application running for it to record your trips). However, the date/time overlay was incorrect, so I contacted the seller, Fly Pig 7, and asked about this, thinking I might have to have the Jarviscam application running, but the seller reassured me that the time should automatically set, and on all subsequent trips it did. The picture quality was okay, but it was an early morning commute in the wet, so it was hard to make out number plates unless they were on a stationary car just ahead of you, so while it’s good enough to document what happened in an accident, it’s unlikely to identify the culprit of a hit and run, but this should be a better in daylight. I’m not sure if the camera has a polarising filter (I doubt it), but if it’s possible to fit one, then the image could be improved. The standout feature though is the customer service, which is excellent. For example, I asked if I could purchase another plastic mounting bracket to allow it to be used in two vehicles and was asked for my address so they could send it – without charge! They are very customer focussed which is so nice.Would I recommend it? Yes, but with one reservation, the picture quality, so you may be better with a 2K or 4K camera, ideally with a higher framerate, but this will cost much more. If you want a cheap and cheerful camera to document an accident when there are no witnesses or they have driven off, then this this camera is probably more than enough.

Great little gadget
A really excellent dash cam. Very impressed with the quality of the footage! I use it on my Land Rover Freelander 2, and getting the wiring through the lining was a breeze (I used my own, separate cable, although the one provided was plenty long). It hides very well behind the rear view mirror and doesn't obstruct passenger view in any way. The app is easy to use and relatively fast. Easy to recommend!
