Nearly perfect but nearly fatal flaw.
I can deal with the rainbow lights. I can even deal with the annoying beep everytime I reach max volume level. What I can't forgive is the annoying alert that repeats every 60 seconds starting with 20% battery remaining which then mysteriously stops at 15%. Then I literally watch the battery level drop about 1% every minute as it quietly gives up the ghost... Also, the LED that displays the battery level stays on starting at 20%. This might contribute to the faster battery drain.Three things redeemed this unit from getting only three stars.1. Form factor is nice and tight. Very compact. Smaller than older units that use external power. Can easily stick it onto my old school boombox using velcro without looking tacky. A real, honest to God, rotary volume control makes it feel like a part of the boombox's native controls. Built-in next/prev track buttons also convenient due when I'm not close to my phone.2. Long lasting battery, so far... Increases the amount of time before I have to deal with the annoying 20% (scare the crap out of me) tone I hear when I'm blasting my music. I mean, MAYBE a much, much more subtle tone at 15, then 10, then 5 through 0% would actually be a more refined approach. After all, the music drops off so the alert can be heard anyway. OK, letting that go.3. Can be recharged while in use. Defeats the purpose of having a rechargeable receiver for a while if I have to charge it while using it but, at least it can keep the music going. Plus, no annoying alerts as it goes from 15% to 20%, LOL. Yeah, I said I'd move on. My bad.But seriously, it's a solid device so far and these modern-day (once small-time?) electronics manufacturers are very talented. If they take advantage of sincere, well-intentioned user feedback they'll eventually get this one up to five stars. I'm willing to check back...

Good for music, not calls
Connects well to the Bluetooth for music, but quality is terrible when making phone calls

Best phone call mic of all my bluetooths!
This is not my first bluetooth car stereo adapter. But it is the best mic so far! What makes this the best of the BT is the mic is a lot better than older models. My usual test is to call my bro every time I get a new Bluetooth. He knows audio & doesn't sugarcoat it when I ask him how it sounds. He says the iPhone mic is better, but he could clearly understand everything I said via the BT mic. That's a lot better rating than he's given me in the past.As a 2nd test, I used this mic to record my voice to an app so I could hear it myself. I thought it sounded great. Just like it ought to from a voice recording app. So much better than previous older BTs.Other features: Big round button to power on, play, pause, power off, & twist for volume. Volume knob does not affect mic volume. The unit will power off after 5 minutes of no BT signal, like when you leave the car. So in theory, the battery ought to last a long time. Too soon to know for sure. Push & hold for 2-3 seconds to power on/off.The left/right arrow buttons can advance to the next song if you're playing music. By the way, music sounds a lot better through this bluetooth than in did in my old bt. Clear & good.LED Display tells you battery % left, volume level (1-15), and if connected. Useful.Charges by USB-C cable, same as the newest iPhones. USC-C cable is included, so is 2 audio cables- you can use either, your pick. This is such a better solution instead of buying a whole new BT car stereo, then spending another $175 to get the steering wheel buttons to work the radio. Buying this little guy easily can save $300.I'm happy, recommend.

Junk.. That's all it is... Junk6
I've had quite a few products like this, but never one so bad. From the time I first used it, the volume never worked properly. It didn't matter which way you turned it, the volume went down. If you just Kept turning it up, down, up, down rapidly, it would finally go up. It would go about half way up, and then start going down again. Eventually it would just start going down by itself while driving down the road. Then it finally got to where it wouldn't go up at all. Don't waste your money. I ended up getting a cheaper one that is outstanding!

Syncing problem if you're looking at video
Nice little unit. Generally works well and has good range. The problem for me is when watching videos on my PC with this device and a pair od wired headphones; the sound is not synced to the video. The actors lips are out of sync and it's very distracting. I tried making setting changes and no improvement. To compare, I tried a pair of bluetooth headphones, and no problem. This unit had a lot of latency.
