Schmidt Sports Expander III Elastic Band - 20Kg/100Kg, Blue

This is a really excellent piece of kit. The cable quality is good, and the anchoring system is reliable (so far). The handles are easily strong enough to cope with the draw strength and provide for a reassuringly secure grip, despite their sveldt dimensions. The Elastikon range numbers from I to IV, and I consider each expander as an integral component of a more comprehensive system of exercise equipment. In following a proper system of progressive resistance training, I need to be able to:1. Load a pair of handles to a level resistance that I can successfully pull for the lower value of my target repetition range.2. Build toward the upper value of my target repetition range over a few sessions, separated by adequate rest periods; I aim to exercise on alternate days, or every third day (if not adequately rested).3. I add 5 fkg resistance and repeat the cycle.Each yellow cable is 10 kg of resistance, while red=15 kg, blue=20 kg and green=25 kg.In order to add just 5 kg of extra resistance per exercise during each cycle, I need access to the full range of expanders.All things considered, I am pleased with the results obtained from my investment of time and effort, hence a five star review!

Offers a good workout. Have started with two bands attached which is more than enough to start and could ideally do with one of the variants of the expander to increase the load in smaller jumps. One of the bands broke free of its metal retainer/clamp but should be able repair easily enough. The plastic clips in to the handles themselves can be quite tricky to remove but stay firmly in place once fitted.As others have stated the unit comes with an instruction sheet which is entirely in German but doesn't matter with this type of product!

This product works fantastically, but be careful if you're just starting out, this thing is high resistance per band! Most people with reasonable strength might want to start with II, the reason being that the gap between bands is smaller. Here, the gap is 20kg resistance for each band, so a big jump that takes a long time to move up with through other exercises. But it's sturdy and has shown zero signs of slackening, top product.

I wanted something to use in a non-weight/warm up workout and got one of these.Its a well made solid product which you can make quick adjustments by adding and taking off bands. But unless you are the Incredible Hulk, you will probably won't use all five band, In fact I may have been better off with a Schmidt Sports Expander II.

Fantastic piece of hardware - bought all four expanders (yellow, red, blue, green) and swapping the configuration depending on training. The cord are compatible between models so there is wide combination spectrum (from 10Kg to 125Kg)

this is a well made german product,i bought the expander 4 a few months ago,and it has not stretched 1mm,and i use it 5 times a week for various exercises,so i bought the expander 3, so that i can pound out more reps.i thoroughly recommend this product.you will not be disappointed.

As others have mentioned, they are really long, too long for my arms and I'm 6ft / 183cm..

Una única pega: los cables son excesivamente largos y a los bajitos (que tenemos los brazos cortos) nos obliga a tomar medidas extraordinarias para poder hacer extensiones correctamente. Como hacer nudos en el centro de los cables para acortar su longitud

Endlich habe ich eine alternative zum Hanteltraining gefunden. Da man den Expander auch auf Reisen mitnehmen kann, gibt es nun keine Ausreden mehr für das Krafttraining unterwegs. Die Verarbeitung ist super und dank der 4 verschiedenen Federn ist von leicht über mittel bis starke Muskelbeanspruchung alles möglich. Dank der beiliegenden Übungsbeispiele in Bildern sollte es auch Anfängern leicht fallen, den Expander sinnvoll einzusetzen. Ich habe mir gleich 2 Stück bestellt, da sich damit die Auswahl der Übungen erheblich erhöht. Ich kann die Expander wirklich jedem empfehlen, der für wenig Geld etwas für seinen Körper tun möchte.

Compré el primer expansor de 15kg debido al cierre de gimnasios y fue todo un acierto. Lo malo es que la progresión es muy grande si solo tienes uno (de 15 en 15 con el primero, de 20 en 20 con el segundo), por lo que cuando llegas a tu máximo es muy difícil progresar, y las cuerdas terminan estirándose y por tanto perdiendo resistencia. Han sido muy útiles y los uso todos los días.

Angenehmes Training, da sich der Widerstand erst im Verlauf der Zugbewegung aufbaut.Mir sind die Expandergummis nicht zu lang, misst man die Gummiseile kommt man auf 72 cm, die tatsächlich genutzte Länge des Geräts liegt, ohne Kraftaufwendung, bei 91 cm (gemessen von Griffinnenseite zu Griffinnenseite, an der der Handballen aufliegt).
