easy to apply and lasts a month
My mom has been using this shampoo for about 6 months now and it has been very useful because it doesn't damage her hair. It's a natural dye that covers her gray hair very well. Her hair lasts a month completely black, and if you bathe, the dye doesn't come out, and it doesn't take as much time or work to touch it up as it would at a hair salon.

Great value and excellent results.
This is the only option I use for my beard. It does a great job of covering my grey for a significantly less expensive option than any of the subscription or store bought dyes. Furthermore, it doesn’t stain my skin and give away the fact that my beard is dyed.

It works!
So surprised, it actually works. It didn't leave my hair dry and the coverage was spot on.It's only been a few days so I'll date again on how long it lasts. I don't shampoo my hair but once every 2 weeks because I've started my loc journey and I have very soft hair so it's taking a little more time for me to loc so fingers crossed.

It covers and my hair looks thicker
Chestnut brown did not cover as well as the dark brown. Itis an extremely thin liquid and messy. With my 3rd application I mixed the two and like the color better. You have to shake well to get the color mix. Mine lasted 4 works and that was impressive. However for a natural product my head itches for days after an application and my scalp has broke out in bumps. An allergic reaction. But my hair looks better. So something is working. May see if leaving it on 15 rather than 30 minutes helps with the scalp irritation.

Amazing product!
I never usually write reviews but this Black Hair Dye Shampoo is Amazing. I’ve been dying my own hair for over forty years and this is the easiest, least messy I have ever used. No skin staining! My whole head is gray and I had 1/2” of gray hair showing that I had covered with black root cover. This product covered all my gray completely. I left on 30 minutes just to be safe and was shocked at the results. I even had compliments how shiny and healthy my hair looked the next day at work. I did use a small amount of conditioner after rinsing since I have long hair. So I ordered another bottle. I can do this as often as needed now and not dread dying my hair.

Impressed with the dark brown color and shine!
I got this product to use in between dyes, but depending on stay power, I may just start using this monthly! I was tempted to leave it in for the max time of 25-30 mins, but wanted to see what 15 mins did and i'm impressed! I LOVE the dark brown color and shine! I just hope it lasts more than a week! It says to rinse the shampoo out with water but doesnt say to shampoo. Therefore, I used a little color stay conditioner instead. I dont much care for the smell tho. Even with my conditiiner, my hair doesnt smell very good, when dry. I'm sure it will be better after my next hair wash!

Good but not so good
I'll make my review straight forward:POSITIVE NOTES:a) the product is good enough to cover light grey hair and might be good for daily use.b) affordable product compared against similar products available.c) the product lasts long enough as similar products considering its size.d) overall, good value but see the negative notes below.NEGATIVE NOTES:a) it stains, even though you rinse it out completely, it releases color that stains fabrics and skin.b) there's a serious issue with the pump and bottle design: in short it filters the product, and it stains all over.c) it dries your hair, word of advice after using it for a while I highly recommend using an additional mask to re-hydrate your hair.d) the content is not consistent with the advertised content; the external label shows 500ml but in reality, it might be less than 452ml.e) as stated before, it stains your skin and fabrics, therefore as a word of advice you'll be better off wearing gloves while applying the product. In general, good but not good enough for the end result. I hope this helps all Amazon shoppers.

It worked!? Holy cow, it did work!
My hair is black, but I've been coloring since I was 10 because I was going premature gray. Correction, my mother colored my hair and I began as a teen. I 'm 40 now so I've colored my hair probably 300 times. About once every three months probably. I'm sure that figure isn't exact, but it's close. Last year I noticed I had orange in my hair after only a couple washes. White, "empty" hair can turn green or orange when dyed black. The dye was falling out of my gray, now probably white hair. I have streaks which is gonna be pretty cool when I do stop coloring. I kinda liked the peek-a-boo effect, but not the orange, so I decided to try and dye the front of my hair, where the streaks were, red. I refused to use bleach so the best I ever got was a dark burgundy, even with Splat. Again, it starts falling out and I'd done it like 3 or 4 times since last October. I was dealing with pale red and white threads. Cut to now and my bangs and temples are dry and brittle. I was done. I needed to cover grays and go back to black, but I didn't want to damage it further. I asked a hair dresser friend about plant based dye shampoos and she said it would be gentler on my hair if it worked. I tried a patch test last night to make sure it wouldn't react with my skin and would cover the gray. It did nothing and I left it for an hour or more. I decided since today was a wash day anyway, I'd try it. I left it in for an hour and a half, maybe two. My scalp never burned or really even itched. Not like with drug store box dyes where you wanna keep a pair of chopsticks handy to scratch your head or you'll go mad. Completely ignoring the instructions, I rinsed it out, scrubbed in some of my also plant based bar conditioner and left that for 30 mins or so. Guess who's hair is now black again? I was super surprised. It's a warm black and I prefer a cool, but I wear toppers anyway. Yeah they cover grays, but I style them so my hair and it are curled together. So grays peek through. I'm just so honestly surprised it worked as well as it did. I have not washed it yet. I wash with rice water, but only once a week. If something drastic happens like the color falling out or staining my pillow, I'll update this review. My intentions are to only use it when I notice the grays becoming a little unruly. I hope I can use it that way. I was banking on rice water strengthening my hair and I don't wanna have to bake my head every wash day to keep it black. As for why the patch test didn't work: I'm pretty sure it's two bottles in one, you depress the pump and both products come out together. You mix them in your hands and apply. I think that first little pump wasn't enough of one or the other products to activate it. I wound up using a lot, working in sections, but all the hair dye videos on youtube say to SATURATE the hair, so I did. Especially in the front where the most work needed to be done. It didn't dye my skin nearly as dark as a box dye would have and it washed out easily.I'm so shocked it worked as well as it did. I expected to have to do it a couple times for the effect to "build up" I guess. Idk about all the reviews saying it's fake. It worked just fine for me.
