Heavy duty vinyl gate latch
Very easy to install gate latch for my driveway vinyl gate. Installed in 10 minutes. Bought to add support to gate during blustery conditions. Latch is in addition to originally installed one above handle in photo. Gate utilizes 1/2” diameter rod through hole in concrete to stabilize center of gate, but during very windy conditions, gate flexes and bows a lot. I added this latch below handle, close to bottom for support. Works well and adds security to gate when we’re gone. Actually like the action and ease of opening better than original latch installed with fence/gate.

Very sturdy
I had to return this because it was too large for my needs but it was a very heavy duty latch. It was at least twice as heavy as the one I was replacing. The price also was extremely reasonable. I wish it would have worked for me.

This was very big!
Overall, I believe that the latch would work and function properly. I had to return it though because my gate would not close with it on it. I believe it is bigger in size than other latches I have seen of this style but regardless I just couldn't get it to work with my double vinyl gate set up. For the $15 price tag, it was a great deal and seemed very sturdy. If I could have made it work, I would have kept it. But also if I knew the exact sizing it was going to be, I probably would not have bought it.

Better than the ones at Lowe’s or Home Depot
The latches built much better than the ones that you buy at Lowe’s or Home Depot, and they cost almost half as much. Use these on two steel framed cedar fence gates and they work great. These gates are heavy and they have bent everyone that I’ve bought from Lowe’s or Home Depot. Very durable. The screws that they provide are perfect for metal or wood applications. The latch works smooth.

Definitely heavy-duty
Sturdy latch, solid mechanism, bolts included are awful (make sure to use some deck screws for better grip, or better quality lag bolts). It also requires a good amount of spacing, so make sure you don’t have tight tolerances, or you’ll end up modifying quite a bit to make it fit. Overall great product.
