So far out of the China low cost calipers, this is the best I have had. The battery cover is screw on which is nice because the other widely produced Mitutoyo clones have the cover fall off all the time. This is an entirely different design which is refreshing. Also the case is metal. The measurement compares favorably to the 5x more expensive Mitutoyo but the workmanship is not even close. You can tighten the guide set screws to achieve less slop in measurement but unlike the much more expensive caliper, you will not have smooth motion over the whole length as the "ruler" part of it is not machined to good tolerances. Mine I can get very accurate for the first 40mm or so but then it gets stuck indicating the guide becomes wider as it goes on.

The first one I received was damaged so that I could not open the battery case. It was replaced no problem. The second one I received I believe was a return from another customer. The reason for this is there was a battery already in the compartment but was a dead one. They did supply a new one. The other reason is that the wheel system does not work as it should, you have to be careful or you will get a false digital reading. I generally don't like to send things back so I will use this tool carefully.

I know this is a cheapo tool and you get what you pay for, but I don't even think I got that. All the sliding surfaces are very rough so it feels horrible. The internal measurement part is not even close to useful. I can easily see where the parts do not line up. The depth measurement part is also far from flat. Repeatability after zeroing is nonexistent. The screen is nice and it technically can inaccurately measure things, so it gets one star. This one is going to my kids to play with.

The digital calipers have become very common, so when I needed a metric caliper I decided to get this one. It reviewed well and has both English and metric readouts. It works very well; I found it to be within a half-thousandth for repeatability.

I have used micrometers and dial calipers for years but wanted a digital model to eliminate reading mistakes. This one is great! It will read either mm or inches and just works when you turn it on. I don't use the others anymore. No complaints.

I got this two months ago. I just got the chance to use it. For the first few measurements it read OK only a thousandth off. When I went over 23.45mm and then tried to zero it back it read -19.86 mm. I hit the zero out button on the bottom right it did nothing. Can't bring it back to zero. I got to use it ONCE.

It appears to be a good investment. I am pleased with how it appears to work. The plastic box is not quality (broke when first opened it), but the tool seems to be good quality.

I needed a caliper for one of my college courses and this one was perfect! It was very easy to use and had a nice display. Overall great tool to have if you need to find the dimensions to small or medium sized objects, it comes in a nice hard-shell plastic case that keeps the caliper in place so that it won’t move around. Comes with an extra battery. Nice medium weight, and it will last a long time if you take care of it.
