Ten Stupid Things Women Do to Mess Up Their Lives

I bought this book for my granddaughter, who needed some advice outside those that are close to her. Often times, good advice is easier accepted by an complete outsider. I have never read this book, but have read others by Dr. Laura, so I knew the truths in it would be down to earth and right. My granddaughter has thanked me several times and told me the book has changed her thinking and her life. She has now followed up with 2 other books by Dr. Laura that she seems to be getting a lot from. I recommend not only this book, but any of Dr. Laura's books to everyone.

Some people think Dr. Laura is mean & very conservative. She’s actually not, she has tattoos & rides a motorcycle. If u listen to her radio show on Sirius, she gives sound, smart advise and gives it to them in the way people need to hear it. She’s not a wussy. She won’t sugar coat it. I thought she was a jerk the first time I heard her. Then, I realized it was me that was delusional. I think every girl should read this book starting at puberty. I gave it to my daughters 12 & 15 after I read it and so glad I did.

This book was written a few decades ago, but the information still applies to the modern day woman and our young adults. Woman are natural nurturers. We need to be more in tune with self awareness, take time to identify our traumas, and work through our own healing process instead of believing that a relationship with a significant other will make all else disappear. This book teaches you the signs to pay attention to and the “why” as the reason to not give yourself to someone first. Put the oxygen mask on “You” first to save You, to figure You out before you began doing the most for someone else.

I wish more therapists were willing to provide this type of therapy to their clients! Perhaps giving out therapeutic advice in this manner would put many of us (therapists) out of business but it would create better homes and healthier individuals!

We have 2 daughters and purchased this book for each of them. Simple life lessons that will set their lives on a better trajectory if they choose to follow the advice.

Great Book. I gave it to my daughters and their close girlfriendsWomen--do yourself a favor...get this book, and if you hate it...sell it to someone else. My guess is the tough love that you get from this book will save you heartache, pain, and regret.This is not the same information the world has been feeding you. It's time to find out what you have been doing wrong.Thank me later.

Great Book! I heard the audio version twice in a little less than four hours. Filled with words of wisdom and great advice. Although I must say, the title of this book should be Ten stupid things women let men do to ruin their lives. This book greatly focuses on how to create better relationships with men to empower themselves. If you are looking for something a little more carreer-oriented perhaps you should look for another book.

Great bits of advice and great information on how to deal with your teens. Gives hope that you will be able to survive those years and will see hope on the horizon. Simple language and easy read. Nice to know that you can find a qualified and experienced advisor that you can trust.

The book arrived on time though it looks very old, but will still read it.

I found this books interesting to read, especially if you are at a crossroad and need a little push to take decisions...Excellent examples of real stories and real problems, in a very light hearted yet with realistic expectations, easily miss by the female population around the world!.I enjoyed it indeed.

Bought it for my adult daughter. Don't know if she will ever read it. I hope so, Dr. Laura is right on point.You can lead a horse to water.... but you can not make it drink.

So I've been buying Dr Laura books for my close friends. They tell me their problems and I hand them her book lol. Love you Dr Laura and thanks for all you do <3
