A lacking sequel
I was so excited to get into this, and though I wasn't disappointed yet, this didn't live up to my expectations.I thought we would get more dragons here, but they only appeared for the first few pages and then never came back, and the characters I thought would play an important role later never did as well. I just didn't see the point of introducing so many characters if you dont even use them properly? They had so much potential as well. Seryu didn't play an important role as much as I thought he would ? And the whole premise fell short for me. The story also meandered a too much, and I found myself getting bored at various points. Also, the whole shiori not getting engaged to Takken due to the weirdest plot choices😭😭😭 like come on THREEE TIMES they didn't get engaged???Public humiliation every time for Takken is ridiculous. Also, her brothers took a backseat, and I found that very contrasting with the last book. The last chunk of the book had my attention, but overall, this duology could have been a single book because this sequel didn't really work that well.
