This is my second one because I like it
There is no reason for me to spend more money on color ink. Now that you can send pictures and documents digitally printing is just for filing or documentation. This is a cost effective unit and it is important that I can scan to my flash drive. I use this machine to print sign and scan documents. Compact size works well easy installation. Easy to connect. Large ink capasity.

Easy to set up, great user interface, excellent experience so far.
After about a week, so far this printer has exceeded my expectations. This replaces a Brother multi-function printer that was probably ~15 years old, did a decent job for more all those years, but was never a terribly seamless experiences, especially in terms of it's user interface, scanning and general reliability. This Canon model was super easy to set up, I love having built-in duplex printing, and it took just moments to get multiple laptops and other devices connected to it successfully. Adorama also shipped it quickly.

It just works!
I am so relieved. After screwing with a competitor printer for a couple years, I dumped it for this Canon MF465DW. This printer is for my wife's study and we've had it for a couple months now and she has yet to call me with some printer issue or other. It just works. It's expensive and it's big but I'm glad we made the choice. Print is clear. scanning is fast. Two sided auto feed is great. Not once has it failed to print via our Google mesh network.

Terrible Printer
This printer was a easy to set up but refused to print in color. There are 0 instructions online to help with issues other than very generic instructions that include unhelpful instructions. Ultimately we returned it due to the inability to get it to print color, despite settings being set to color (it took us forever to figure out how to turn off grayscale).

A good printer.
The printer works very well. I would give 5 stars but for the very unclear setup instructions. (Among the worst I’ve ever seen.)

I'd buy it again...
Love the speed of copying. Fast to turn on, and to shoot out the copy. Nice digital screen/touch pad for use. Goes into sleep mode after several minutes if not used. Haven't used it for printing, just for copying which is what I intended it for. The old Xerox had seen it's better day.

Nice printer/copier; works flawlessly
This unit replaced an over 10 year old Canon printer, whose paper intake finally failed. (No complaints there, that one served well over the years.)We have this unit connected via Ethernet and use it as copier/printer and scanner. So far it has worked flawlessly and - unlike with a recent Brother printer that I purchased for my mom - here the driver installation was smooth and went without a hitch. As with any network device that acts as a "server" (in the broadest sense), it is a good idea to set it to a fixed IP address on your network's DHCP server (usually your router) and you should do that BEFORE installing any drivers. This is how you do that:1. Connect the device to your network and power it up.2. Go to your router's management interface and check the IP address and the MAC address of this printer.3. Add this device via its MAC address as a static IP address and save this new setting. Make sure that IP address is inside your subnet, but outside of the range of dynamic IP addresses.4. Wait until this printer has picked up the IP address, you assigned it to. This make take a few hours, but you might be able to speed this up by turning off the router and this printer, then turning on the router again and - after a minute or two - turn on this printer.5. Get the newest drivers and software from the website, don't bother with any included CD and install them in the sequence that the manual suggests.6. You're ready to print and scan to your heart's content.

Another Canon Running Strong!
This is the second Canon printer purchased for the church and it is great... and fast. I am still using our older ImageClass MF731Cdw color printer (after 6 years) in my home office. This new ImageClass MF465dw has the same features as our current color version and is fast and simple to setup. Just remove all the orange tape, plug it in, and connect to your network. For WI-FI, it found the network quickly and all I had to do was click it! The printer did the rest and it will complement the current color printer still in use.The whole process of unboxing, setting up, connecting to the network, and printing the first document took less than 10 minutes.Pastor Z
