Rose Book of Bible Charts, Maps & Time Lines Vol. 1: 10th Anniversary Edition

I love this book. It has a lot of information and are beautifully organised in a way that you can find anything quickly. It presents the same facts in different ways as short notes, diagrams and pictures. I’m using side-by-side with my personal bible study.

Rose Publishing's style is to mainly use tables with rows and columns, rather like an Excel spreadsheet, so you can see at a glance the points being made on a particular topic. But there are other features as well. There are fold outs for Biblical chronologies, and the genealogy of Jesus. There are illustrated sections in non-tabular format on various topics, such as Noah's Ark and Herod's temple. There is a section of maps of the Biblical lands, sometimes overlaid with modern political boundaries. And much more. It's written from a conservative Christian viewpoint, but is a useful reference even if that is not your position. There is a section on "Christianity, Cults & Religions", with comparisons between Biblical Christianity and various other religions and sects; comparisons between the main Christian denominations; and a more in-depth comparison between Christianity and Islam. It's a large book and not comfortable to hold in your hands, so it's best to have a desk or table to place it on. It's ring bound so the pages lie flat. In my view this is an invaluable Bible study companion for older children and adults, and it's in a visually appealing format.

Like a miniature encyclopedia. Beautifully clear and very cleverly set out.

This book is absolutely amazing. It is user friendly and has so much to teach you. This is perfect for everyone. Whether you love history or wish you liked it (me), you will learn something with this book and be interested while reading it. To name a few it; - outlines Solomon and Herod Temples - speaks about all 12 disciples (their personality, their encounters with Jesus and general info about them) - evidence surrounding both the resurrection and the bible throughout history - the fruits of the spirit - the 7 churches I could go on. I bought this book as a gift... I am either going to keep it or buy another!

I find this book perfect for bible teaching. As a pastor - teacher I find this book and Rose other book on charts (Book TWO) perfect for church and private bible study, very usful! Would love to have a cd rom disc of the book inclosed within its pages, even if it would cost a little extra. You can download powerpoints from Rose or send for the discs if needed.

I ordered this book to settle arguments and to try and work out difficult concepts in my grandchildrens RI at school. It is meant for older children and possibly desperate adults trying to explain Biblical stories etc. It did all that and more. I wish I had had access to this book when my children were at school, not to mention myself.. The book is clear, interesting and beautifully illustrated.

Excellent beautiful resource, but 2 MAJOR CONCERNS. One- the ring binding and page dimensions seem to clash, such that they will likely tear with use, if not unrealistically careful. Two- at the end of the final pages of this “10th anniversary edition” what I assume is a recent addition: a specific section on “Christianity & Islam”; which VERY DISTASTEFULLY and at odds with the integrity of the rest of the book, seems to put them on equal pegging- with instructions of how to “reach out” (read PLACATE/SUBMIT) to Muslims, including not to speak badly of Muhammed etc. What is this witchcraft?? We are to speak the truth. I might take advantage of the fragile page binding and rip these double minded pages out of this book, as it really is an insult to Christ and the otherwise great witness of this resource

The content of this book is beautiful and amazing. But despite purchasing a new copy, I received it damaged as you can see. Please improve your packaging!

Excellent study materials to complement our bible study. The charts and content across volume 1,2,3 are all great work done by the publishers. I got my copy from Ivanah Enterprises seller and the packaging and delivery was great.

Contents were good. Definitely a good resource to have to help understand the Bible more with the visual comparison and explanation. Just that the item came damaged and was torn. Overall, a valuable purchase.
