When you get heavier strings - you need these
I moved to a surf style of guitar. All the online chat said to get flatwound heavy strings. So I did. To my horror , when I tightened them up, the guitar seemed to be getting pulled apart. The bridge was getting yanked out by the increased force. These springs took me from 3 to 5 pulling back in the tremelo system and all was good again !

works
works perfectly and not an expensive upgrade for a Mexican strat.

Essential
Can’t think why Fender don’t automatically include this when you buy the guitar. I hate loosely hanging tremolo arms and this cures it. Just have to remember to stick some gaffa tape over the hole when removing the arm otherwise the spring will fall out. I bought 3 just in case!

Does the job
Took a fair while for delivery, but does what it should.

A must have!
If you have a Strat with a trem, then you must get one of these! It stops the trem flopping about uselessly or you having to tighten the arm too hard into the slot damaging the thread.

Easy to install
Recently acquired a “Player Fender Strat “ unlike it’s dearer cousin it doesn’t have a spring within the tremolo aperture to hold the arm in place. A simple fixture ....an the tremolo arm stays in place exactly were you want it.Simply brilliant

Whammy bar tension spring
Having always had second hand guitars I didn’t realise these existed until I saw a clip on YouTube, now my tremolo arm stays where I leave it all because of a little spring, and these do the job admirably. Having spoken to many others, none knew of the springs, so it’s a fact worth knowing and passing on.

A must have part!.
At last my strat is complete, spring lost very first day as there is no warning what the tape over the tremolo hole is for. Works really well trem arm stays where I put it and the price was ok. It was delivered almost before I ordered it so no complaints here.
