Highly recommend for pack rats, mice, anything that would eat your wires or build nests
Works great, my son’s car that doesn’t have a mouse blocker on it had had more than one nest in the engine compartment in 9 months while my car that is parked in the same area hasn’t been touched. Easy to install and works great

Works Great!
So far these are working really well. We live in the mountains and fight a constant battle with packrats and mice in our vehicles. This has been the best product we have used to ward off the rodents.

Well worth the investment for cold winters, keeps animals out without harming them
I found my husband purchasing this product after a trip to FL in the winter (we live in NJ). After returning home, upon starting our car, the hood started smoking. Squirrels had taken up residency in the hood of my honda accord. They bit some electrical wire and had tons of sticks and leaves in their new apartment. We tried moth balls and that did not work. My husband purchased this product and no more squirrels!!! Our neighbor was having the same problem and we sent them this to buy and they too no longer have squirrels. Since 2019 we have bought 4 of these (new cars and husband forgot to remove from a car we traded in). We can say enough good things about this product. Knowing we arent hurting the squirrels with this puts my animal loving self at ease. Yes its a little expensive but rather spend the money on this than thousands of dollars on my car due to electrical issues from the squirrels eating the wires.

Mouse Blocker Pro or Mouse Blocker ProX?
I have had issues with squirrels, mice, rats, you name it, chewing up the wiring on my vehicles. I purchased 1 Mouse Blocker Pro 12v to test out. No more damage, no paw prints in the dust, it appeared to be working, so I purchased a second Mouse Blocker Pro 12v, and installed it a few months ago. Those both came in the same packaging, which is what you see in the right side of the photo's I have attached. I bought a 3rd one about a week ago. The 3rd arrived, but on the box has Mouse Blocker ProX, the packaging is the same, except the the printing on the outside is different, and the printing on the actual device is different. The enclosed product installation and operation guide is the same as the previous 2. I installed the 3rd Mouse Blocker ProX, the documentation and description states the device shutoff when the vehicle is started, the voltage is low, and has the same install instructions. I installed it, and found there are some differences in the Mouse Blocker ProX, I had to do my own research and testing to figure out why the device I received didn't work like the previous 2. The manufacturer appears to have updated the device, or it is a new one, and does not operate like the previous 2 I purchased. Both turn on/off, have 3 levels of sound, and connect to the battery the same. The ProX however, does not shut off when the vehicle is started, and I noticed when I was installing it, if you move the ProX, it appeared to shutoff. At first I thought the unit I had was defective, but some testing I discovered if the device is moved, it shuts off, I had use a camera under the hood, start the vehicle, and start driving, it shut off, which explains why the device did not shutoff when I started the vehicle. I wonder how many are being returned due to the outdated documentation? If you purchase one, be aware there appear to be 2 models, the Mouse Blocker Pro, and the Mouse Blocker ProX. The documentation they send is for the Mouse Blocker Pro, not the ProX. The box on the ProX does not mention it shuts off if the voltage drops below 11.5v, and since it lacks documentation I am not sure if it does, or does not, I may wake up one day to a dead battery, ,which is when I will find out if it shuts off below 11.5v. The Mouse Blocker ProX does not shut off when the vehicle is started, I appears if the device detects movement, it shuts off. I am assuming this as it's my observation from watching it when I move the vehicle from point A to point B. It appears to start working again when the vehicle is no longer moving. I deducted a star due to the lack of documentation on the ProX, is it an update, a different version, they have different applications, like an electric vehicle, or can they be used on both combustion and electric vehicles? Only time will tell if it is as effective as the previous purchases.

I tried EVERYTHING. This changed our lives.
I don't like reading crazy sounding reviews that seem like they are written by the company that sells the product; I have to make an exception in this case and write one of my own. We moved to the top of a mountain this past March, and no one warned us about all of the mice. There aren't enough predators to keep them at bay, and they frigging INFESTED our cars in the driveway after a month of moving in. By the time we noticed, the mice had taken insulation and padding from the seats and created huge nests in the engine bay, trunk, dash, EVERYWHERE. We freaked out since it was our first time experiencing anything like this and read online for solutions. We battled them *all* year up until last month when we bought these MouseBlockers. We tried every stupid thing you've ever read on the internet to prevent mice. Irish Springs soap (they ATE it), mothballs (they didnt mind - we wanted to die), pure peppermint oil (seemed to work for short periods of time, but they immediately came back even with constant spraying. This also made our eyes water we sprayed it so strong). I finally resorted to live traps. I would catch a mouse here and there and take them down the mountain and release them. the problem with this is that if there's 1 mouse, there's thousands. You could catch a mouse every day, and there's thousands more to replace it. Do you want to kill or live trap mice every day forever? I also read online and youtube about sonic devices and how they don't actually work for mice, so I was highly skeptical these would work. I was at my last nerve with mice running all over the car while I drove down the mountain so I was willing to give anything a try. THANKFULLY I can say that after 1.5 months of using this, the mice are GONE! I knew it was working the first weekend we installed the because we would see mouse droppings every single morning in the cupholders and dash as well as live mice in the traps. This was instantly gone after the first weekend. Now that it's been almost 2 months with them, it's all just starting to feel like a bad dream and I can finally review this. I can't recommend these highly enough. For anyone that knows the feeling of seeing mice dart around the car while you drive, you know that it's unnerving experience. The install is super easy. Make sure you try to find a spot somewhat close to the battery because of the short wires, CLEAN the flat spot you pick with de-greaser and then alcohol, and use a high temp heavy duty double sided tape like loctite red. Use 4 strips (2 vertical following the side mounts - 2 horizontal along the fins). You can also use the holes and screws but it's harder to find a mount point and possibly have to drill. Also, put it in a spot where you know you'll get maximum reverberation in the engine bay (don't put it next to or against a padded insulation piece). I know this was long, but it really saved us big time. Luckily the mice had just damaged insulation/seats etc and hadn't ruined the engine wiring yet except for my blinker light wires. We have them set to the highest setting (loud and blinking LED's). I can hear them, our younger friends can definitely hear them, but older people can't hear that frequency as well. As long as the mice stay away, I don't care!

USELESS FOR FLYING SQUIRRELS
I’ll be returning this item. I purchased 3 of them. 1 for each of the vehicles. I could hear flying squirrels getting into my attic. So, to try this item out, I have a huge jump pack that I connected 2 of these to and put it in the attic which is a very small area. More of a crawl space. They make noise and flash lites but, the squirrels couldn’t care any less about them. Left them in the attic for a week w/ no change in rodent activity. If they don’t work in the very small area I had them in then, they aren’t going to keep them out of my vehicles. A box trap and a piece of lead are far more affective…..

Squirrels be gone!
I have two cars and I have to park my Cadillac CT4 outside. When I was washing my car, I noticed under the hood acorns appeared ever week. I cleaned them out and they reappeared. Guess what, squirrels were setting up shop for a cold West Coast Florida winter, early in the summer. Of course I saw the commercials on the Motortrend channel on TV and decided to see if Amazon carried the Mouse Blocker Prox. Sure enough, they did. I ordered it, installed it and turned it up on high. Guess what, the following week, no more acorns. Now two months later, still no acorns. This sucker really works. I know they say to turn it down, but I decided to leave it turned up on high. I don't mind the little guys running around the yard, and my dogs really enjoy going our and standing under the tree and looking up and watching them, but keeping them out of my car and not chewing wires was my Number 1 plan and this device accomplished it. So, if you have Squirrels, Chipmunks, mice or rats, get the Mouse Blocker Prox and get rid of them.
